Me and one of my friends go there monthly and everything is the way all restaurants should be. Everything was perfection to the way restaurants back in the day were. The food was awesome and they give you enough for 2 meals. The price is great, portions are outstanding, service from the staff there is awesome and they make you feel comfortable with your needs. Go there and I guarantee that you will not regret it and you will keep going back.

We love Palatine INN and the friendly staff. You always feel welcome and appreciated. The food is good and great service. The corned beef sandwich is huge and tasty. A good glass of wine filled to the top. The soups are like homemade. You can never go wrong stopping at the Palatine Inn for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This was the worst experience I have ever had at restaurant. I take my mom out to eat everyday. This is what she likes to do. Looking at my mom, you can tell that she is sick and has cancer. She was wearing a Chemo hat. My mom ordered an omelet and coffee. She likes cream and sugar in her coffee. I asked for more sugar since they only have the little packets. The waitress told us that the amount of sugar on the table is enough for us. I offered to pay for extra sugar if that was a problem. She stood at the table and watched my mom add the sugar in her coffee. The waitress had the nerve to open 2 packets and dump it my mom’s coffee. No server should ever add anything to a persons food once it is on the table. My mom said the coffee was bad. We were treated horribly. When we went to pay the bill, the manager went up to the man standing behind us and asked him if he thought that the amount of sugar on the table was enough. It is no ones business on how you like your coffee. The manager said that they thought we were going to steal the sugar packets from the restaurant. How horrible to treat people like that. Especially elderly and people clearly going through Chemotherapy. If sugar makes my mom happy, let her have as much sugar as she would like. We will never return to this horrible restaurant.

Great food. They also serve awesome breakfast, all day long. They don’t light the saganaki up in front of you, so it kind of ruins the experience but it was delicious. The Greek pork chops were juicy and delicious. Huge portion. Sorry I forgot to take pictures right away. It’s a nice place to still have open, with a huge menu. 3 home made soups every day. They also have a bar! Huge plus. Im glad we found this place.

Refused to let us sit at the counter and refused to serve us. The food is excellent but the manager (don’t know her name but she’s extremely short) is rude to my mom and I every time we come. We sat at the counter because we only had time to order soup because we had church. She told us we couldn’t sit there bc it’s for to go orders. We moved to a table and she told the entire staff not to wait on us. I really don’t know what her problem is but she should not be working with the public. This was my dad’s favorite place before he passed which is why we keep coming back.

Palatine Inn is a fabulous old school and high quality restaurant. The atmosphere, food, and service are outstanding. Last night we had a delicious salad with grilled salmon, an omelette, artichoke chicken, and a turkey burger. We all enjoyed our meals and the relaxing atmosphere. That’s great variety and quality too. Our server was a wonderful young lady. This is why we continue to return! Keep up the fabulous work. Thanks very much.

Another experience at Palatine inn family restaurant. The food is good and hearty portions. And my waitress today was Lea, a beautiful young lady with great personality and impeccable service. Perfect 10. Now I am so full I need a nap.

This is a classic family owned restaurant that has a great selection, good customer focused service. As with most resturants the prices have risen steadily over the years but has great value. They do have a service charge for credit card usage which I am not a fan of.

Greek chicken was the worst I’ve ever had.The chicken was very tough. I choked down the thigh. The rice had no taste whatsoever and the potato … could have kept it.I would never return. And it’s typically a Greek cuisine restaurant. Go figure.

My wife and I have eaten here hundreds of times over 20 years. However, the last time we went the biggest pit bull I have ever seen on a long leash was seated next to us — a clear violation of Illinois law. The dog came within 1 foot of my wife and scared her out of her mind. It also smelled like it had just gone swimming in a pond.
We are dog lovers, but we almost lost a daughter to a pit bull attack, so this was especially terrifying. When I spoke to the manager, Jeannie, she raised her voice and waved her hands instead of having a civil conversation. Restaurants should know better. We did not finish our food, we did not ask for a discount, and none was offered. Instead, we got yelled at. We won’t be back.
