Just had my son’s college graduation party in the bar area, the food was delicious had many compliments and a phone call days later to rant how good the food was. We had Queso Fundido, Guacamole, salsa, Pico de gallo, and queso to start nibbles, ribs, Peurco con Chile verde, pulled chicken, ground beef, rice and beans, warm flour and corn tortillas for the main dishes, don’t forget the fabulous margaritas. Chef Espino himself actually came out to introduce himself and to thank us for choosing his establishment what a nice man! I had such great day gloating over my sons accomplishments and ESPINO’s
helped making the day magnificent, thank you all at ESPINO’s creating the best day! Crystal, David, Danielle, and Chef Espino all of you are amazing thank for all of your service.

This is truly a very unique Mexican restaurant couldn’t be ran by a nicer people. It’s been around for a while. Food is consistent. It’s great delicious very fresh. They are gonna have great drinks nice and strong. Plenty to choose from fun atmosphere great little patio area to sit. this place can get busy because they do well but you know it’s worth it. Definitely give it a shot. I really like the ribs here those are pretty phenomenal and the fajitas always still hit the spot and you can’t go wrong with the burrito but definitely those top shelf margaritas they work.

Hands down the best margaritas in West County. I do not say that lightly. I came back about six months ago and everything clearly leveled up.
The steak quesadilla is unreal and whatever they marinate it in is next level. The salsa tastes genuinely fresh, the guacamole is always on point, and the flavors across the board are outstanding.
David was exceptional. He is incredibly knowledgeable, made thoughtful recommendations, and even introduced us to a bottle from their private label tequila. That bottle is now a Christmas gift for a friend who is a total tequila snob. Mystery officially solved on why their margaritas are so good.
Food, drinks, service. All excellent. Highly recommend.

Had a wonderful time here on New Year’s Day, we got there right when they opened and had the pleasure of interacting with the owner/manager. Absolutely fabulous service and amazing food. Will definitely be back on my next trip through town!

This restaurant has gone downhill. We had not been there in several years and just went for dinner, what a disappointment. Booth seat was worn and ripped. Menus were sticky. Prices were very high for the quality of food received. I had chicken quesadilla with roasted vegetables and was very disappointed. Tortilla was barely cooked, chicken was not seasoned at all (dry with zero flavor) and the vegetables were watery and tasted like frozen vegetables. Husband had the enchiladas that were ok. Waitress asked if he wanted red, green, or combination of both sauces. He said both and then we were charged extra $0.75 for half/half sauce. Nothing was mentioned about that being an uncharge on their already high priced food. Chips and salsa were good. (But watch out on menu it says there will be an additional $2.50 charge if you want more than the complimentary serving). Overall experience was bad, will not be back. We would recommend choosing another restaurant.

Absolutely not!! These ratings are misleading. Ordered a chicken quesadilla. Sent it back as it looked undercooked, received another one but the taste was off. Ordered dessert and it was supposed to come with vanilla bean ice cream and I received vanilla ice cream with whipped cream. Will politely decline to patronage. Carryout girl named Abby (maybe), was super nice.

I would avoid this place at all costs. It’s dirty, dingy, and overpriced. The food is awful and strange. Not at all what you’d expect from a Mexican restaurant. The salmon tacos were weird and completely overpriced ($29.00 !!!). I only took a few bites because I was afraid I’d get sick.
My son got an enchilada, which he says tasted “average “ and they upcharged us $3 for the sauce that was on it. We didn’t realize that until we got the bill, which was $53 for 2 entries and 2 waters.
I wish I read the reviews before stepping inside this place. My advice is to spend your money at one of the many other great restaurants in the area.

The atmosphere is laid back and quite refreshing. The staff was very helpful and had a conversation with me. A special thanks to Patty and CC. They were amazing to speak with.
The ribs were second to none, for I have ate all across the country. That is what I do, travel and eat new exciting foods. The ribs were moist, delicious, wholesome and full of flavors! A special shout out to the head chef!! His recipe and process to produce such an amazing dish is well worth the praise! I will be back!!

I went in on a Thursday at 7:00 sharp. Just me. Sat at the bar. Wanted Mexican food and a margarita. There were 3 guys at the bar, looked like they were done eating and drinking. No plates so not sure they ate. Blond behind the bar walked to a seat at the end of the bar as I walked in. She sat there , with her back to me, (in her defense?) talking to a server, who was facing me. They were talking about someone being upset about the server being late. After 10 minutes, I stood up, put on my coat and left. As I left, the server sat someone and the blond came around to the entrance desk and was (punching in her number , maybe clicking in or out?) But no one ever acknowledged me as a customer. Went to Firefly for great drinks, great food and super friendly service. Won’t ever be back to Espinos.
