Looking for great seafood and this did not disappoint. We both got the lobster rolls, one with mayo and one with butter. Both very good. Also got the side of the home made chips. They were crispy, slightly salty and perfect.
The place was just the right size, not to big and the staff very friendly. Great place to eat for locals or out of towners.

4pm on a Monday was easy to get a table. There was a small rush by 4:30. Service seemed a little disorganized. They have a lobster roll, but for whatever reason it’s not on the menu. The server said we get 2 sides with a lobster meal but then when we tride to order 2 sides he says we only get one. Ended up getting the lobster meal with mac & cheese and coleslaw because I felt it was a better value than the lobster roll.
The lobster came out piping hot which was Great! The Mac & Cheese was good. The coleslaw was very bland though. No seasoning at all.

Clam chowder was too salty, as I find with all the clam chowder I’ve had in New England.
Chips were cold. Lobster roll was pretty good.

First time here, I’ve been to other spots around Portland for Lobstah Rolls and Fries Clams, so far this is the best I’ve had in the area.

Me and my wife have been here a few times now and must say if you want delicious fresh seafood this is the place to go. To many times we have been to other restaurants where the food does not taste fresh or you can tell the oil they are using to fry the food is dirty and has not been changed out in quite some time. That is not the case here.
The seafood here tastes fresh and delicious every time we go. Andrew does an amazing job as everything fresh and he uses a crumb batter that provides a nice crunch as you take a bite. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Jynessa took great care of us and was super nice.
Definitely request for your lobster tail or jumbo shrimp to be fried as it is not on the menu. Andrew will hook you up. Those items are of course market price as with anywhere else but well worth the splurge. Ask for Andrews special dipping sauce as well as it was very good. We have yet to find anywhere better than Docks Seafood. We will certainly be going back and highly recommend this establishment to others.

Fried clams are decent. Wish they did have more for the price you pay. They aren’t as big as clam bar. And a different batter. But they taste good nonetheless. Great service and the lobster is great as well. Come for the lobster, if you like bigger clams go elsewhere.

Made a delivery nearby and this was the closest seafood restaurant to me so I decided to give it a try! I’m glad I did! Ordered lobster roll with fries to go. It was excellent. I could taste the freshness of the lobster, the fries were hot and fresh and the staff came right over when I came in to pick up the order. I can’t wait until next time to try other menu items!!

Pros: food was good, we got the smoked salmon dip, shrimp, scallops. Haddock nuggets and Mac and cheese. Portion size was fair.
Cons: service was slow. They changed their menu, took the Big pretzel off (one of the best thing’s they had) you use to be able to pick 3 fried seafood entrees for 32 dollars now you only get 2 for 32 dollars. They automatically add on a “fair kitchen fee” of course nothing is mentioned about it, just shows up on the bill. Not a great beer selection.
Edited to add after response from the resturaunt….I enjoyed the taste of your food, however food to value was not there. AND THE FOOD WAS NOT WORTH THE PRICE. That’s why I generously gave you 3 stars. Also if you look at reviews that are not good the owner is rude and condescending rather than just apologizing and trying to do better. Next time we will go elsewhere rather than coming back.

We ordered lobster Mac and cheese and Caesar salad for our daughter’s morning after wedding brunch. It was excellent. Reheat temp was too low and we let it dry out by keeping it on warm uncovered in the oven- but it still got rave reviews. Had 2 full pans for 65 people. Had other food as well. Caesar salad was excellent too.
