Our server, Karen was amazing very attentive 10 out of 10. I will always come back here. They will always have my business. I got the luxury of having the roasted chicken which was fire and I also enjoyed two bowls of beef vegetable, which was some of the best soup I’ve ever had and that says a lot coming from a family that owns a catering business. I always enjoy visiting this local American-style restaurant. The food is consistently good, the prices are reasonable, and the service is solid. But the highlight for me is always the dessert—especially the cakes and cupcakes. Their carrot cake is the most moist and flavorful I’ve ever had, and the rest of their cake selection never disappoints. If you’re in the area, definitely stop by—even if it’s just for a slice of their five-star carrot cake!

I took my nephew here to check it out it was our first time here. He demolished all his food which was a cheese burger and fries. Also I love that the kids have an incentive to eat all their food to get a scoop of ice cream. I throughly enjoy the broached chicken I received 4 pieces: leg, thigh, breast, and wind with my choice of potato an a small thing of coleslaw. Everything was great. Affordable prices too. Last sit down is at 7pm if you want to dine in. Lastly my server was Shannon and she was awesome sauce!

One thing about Milwaukee restaurants is do not judge the quality based on the outside appearance! From the outside The Family Table doesn’t look appeal it looks run down and like it’s been there for years but when you get inside you get the feel of any other family style restaurant in the city.
One of the main reasons I love this place is the staff. A majority of their morning service staff is elderly women but they are some of the sweetest people you’ll meet. Not only are the extremely nice but patient. Anyone who goes out to eat with kids know it sometimes takes a minute or two to get situated to order.
The food here is always good and consistent. I’ve never had a bad experience when it comes to the quality of food. The price has increased over time but which restaurant hasn’t after COVID and other factors. This is a great place to grab a bite to eat if you’re staying at one of the surrounding hotels but don’t want to take a drive into the city.

I have never been in a restaurant as disgusting as this one. There’s mold growing on the walls, dirty tables, rust, you name it. The interior has not been updated or touched in at least 30 years.
The entire building is nasty. This restaurant needs to be shut down by the city immediately. The bread is wonder bread bagged individually – in dirty reused bags. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. One of the members in our party got extremely sick on the way home. Please do not go here yall! It’s disgusting.

Used to love this place. Had a bacon sausage skillet. It was both DRY & GREASY! Eggs & sausage were overcooked. The toast, when I finally got it, 6 minutes after my meal was cold and had some oily glop on it instead of butter. It tasted horrible!! Our waitress was terrible! I know she was busy but she brought our meals without my toast and waited on 3 other tables & them disappeared into the kitchen before bringing my cold nasty toast! We won’t be back anytime soon!

I waited throughout the pandemic to go back to this restaurant to eat broasted chicken again. It is still delicious. It comes with a tiny serving of coleslaw, choice of potato and a vegetable of the day (like canned corn or similar). You also get a cup of soup or salad and a bread basket. The bread is so yummy! I also almost always get the chicken dumpling soup though the other kinds I’ve had are always delicious (and home made).
The down side is the price has gone up $2 and dessert is no longer included.
I’ve always had good service. The wait staff are attentive and I love that someone is dedicated yo keeping water glasses full.
There are many other delicious items on their menu but the fried chicken is

The Family Table has been a staple in the neighborhood for well over 30 years. Huge menu selection (chef must have a very good memory). Many varieties and styles. Usually has good service. Think family owned “Dennys” style joint.
