I’ve heard great things about this place and I finally had an opportunity to visit. I would say that the food was really just okay but it wasn’t bad. I had the sweetest I was shrimp so it wasn’t anything special. I’m thinking maybe if I had another specialized dish that I would get the good of why this place is so popular. The service was great he was very attentive and gave suggestions which I should have taken him up on. The parking is free and plentiful but it also depends on the time of day. I went on a Friday evening so the parking was a little bit tight in the evening down by the restaurant of course you may have to park a little further but it’s always good to have free parking.

I can’t remember what all the dishes everyone ordered were, but there was no talking during the meal except for the occasional mmm. This place was great. The atmosphere, and the waiter were great as well. Definite thumbs up.

Food was delicious. Decor on par. Service friendly. Lunch is very busy and took awhile to get seated and food took awhile to get to us, but it was great tasting!

We went on a Sunday evening an old it was crowded but we got a seat right away. This was our first time, and we had high hopes after reading the reviews.

We were very disappointed with the food. It lacked soul, flavor, and it was very apparent they were making the food to appeal to a bland pallet.

Their sweet and sour soup (which we were told was Tom yum) had zero lemon grass, galangal, fish sauce, kaffir lime leaves, and barely any salt. It was warm chicken broth with some sliced mushrooms.

We also ordered the Pad See Ew with beef and the trout plate. The pad see ew was very bland. The fish was fried perfectly and the sauce they served it with was good, we also liked the spinach that was sauteed as a side – however, I wouldn’t go back for this dish alone.

Our server was great though. That was a nice highlight.

Started off with the coconut miso soup the actual soup tasted very good the mushrooms not so much. The Pad Thai was amazing! The sushi crunch was very good! Normally I get baked or fried sushi this was a smoked salmon it was delicious! Classic wings with sweet sauce and a nice cucumber salad. Always get a Thai tea it is a must!

“THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE”
On two days in a row (Sunday, August 11, and Monday, August 12, 2024), I dined at Surin of Thailand restaurant, in Huntsville, Alabama, along with a guest.

What a delicious and enjoyable lunch and dinner experience.

On Sunday, I ordered the “Succulent Catfish,” which I have had there before. And, my guest ordered the “Golden Trout” meal. Then, on Monday, we both reversed that: I ordered the “Golden Trout” meal, and my guest ordered that “Succulent Catfish.”

Both meals were extremely tasty, well-seasoned, wonderfully prepared, and beautifully presented. I loved the unique seasonings and sauces used in both of these dishes. Furthermore, the servers were very attentive.

Thank you, Sebastian (our server on Monday night). And, compliments to the chef, (other) servers, management, and everyone else involved at Surin of Thailand, in Huntsville, Alabama, for our two most recent, great dining experiences.

I visited for the first time in December. It was a Sunday evening and we had to wait 10 minutes for a table for 2. It was worth the wait. We ordered the chicken and shrimp pad Thai and the Pink Dragon Roll. We also got an order of egg rolls. The egg rolls were good but I like Phuket’s just slightly better. The pad Thai and sushi were both so good. I will dare say that the Pad Thai was the best I’ve had. I also ordered a pomegranate martini which was very good. Service was perfect. They have a very pretty bar area also but we did not sit there. The sushi was also very good and I enjoyed every bite. Highly recommend!

Service was slow, took 10 minutes before our waitress even came to our table to take drink orders. Food was mediocre at best. The dim sum dumplings were the most flavorful experience. Spring rolls were okay. Tiger Cry was too salty and overpriced, “Thai Noodles”, aka Pad Thai (I’ve never been to a real Thai restaurant that didn’t call it Pad Thai, since this is a signature Thai dish…), was too watery not flavorful, and not spicy at all even though I requested it. Dessert was okay. Wouldn’t go back here.

It was packed when we arrived and yet we were seated pretty quickly. Lee was our server and gave us the best service that I have had in a long, long time. He paced our drinks and timed our food courses precisely. He was exceptional. Please give Lee a raise OR the coconut soup recipe.
