For over thirty years, E.W. Beck’s Restaurant and Pub has been serving fine food to good friends on Main Street in Sykesville, Maryland just minutes from Eldersburg MD. E. W. Beck’s Pub is proud to support local farms and markets. When available, we purchase our produce, meats, and seafood locally. We are known for large portions accompanied by affordable prices for the highest quality meats, seafood and poultry. In our fryers, we use soy based oil which is low in saturated fat and cholesterol and minimizes risks for allergic reactions. And our menus are seasonally recreated to keep our customers satisfied. We’ve enjoyed serving our friends and neighbors for the past 30 years and will do our best to keep you coming back for many more.

We have been coming to Becks since they opened. It is still high on our list. Selections can fluctuate (3.5 to 5 stars). Crab cakes are very consistent and great. Rib eye sandwiches are always good. Both cream and Maryland crab soups are always tasty. Raspberry cake was a bit disappointing. Looking forward to sitting outside as it can get noisy inside. Always recommend Becks! Liza our server was spot on.

This has become our favorite spot so quickly even after a couple visits. Every single dish we’ve eaten has been amazing. The scrapple is the best I’ve had in my entire life, and I’ve had a lot of scrapple hailing from Pennsylvania in my childhood. The kids meals are also big hits with our kiddos, especially the mozzarella sticks which have great cheese pulls. The atmosphere is lovely as well. Every server we’ve had has been so prompt, helpful and a pleasure. Honestly I can’t rave about this place enough. It’s become our family outing destination.

If I could’ve assigned food 4.5 stars instead of 4 stars, I would but I am picky, and 5-star food should be something really mind-blowing. It was pretty good though! Exceptional compared to any chain restaurant, hands down!! I’m in my 40s and I always enjoyed going to family or home style restaurants growing up (wood floors, wood trim, family-run, they look more like a house than a restaurant), and this gave me those kind of vibes. I love that. My date and I even enjoyed the atmosphere so much, it felt natural to let our meal settle before walking out. Service was impeccable! Everyone there was very friendly! They go out of the way to make you feel welcome and satisfied!

The food was outstanding. The cream of crab soup was the best I’ve ever had, perfectly balanced, not too heavy and not too thin. The portions were generous, and everything was well prepared. Kirsten delivered patient and attentive service, which made the experience even better. Located in the historic district of Sykesville, it’s a great spot with plenty of shops nearby to explore. There’s also a convenient parking lot in the rear with handicapped spaces available, which is a big plus.

We’ve been to E.W. Beck’s several times now and it’s always a fantastic experience. We recently had the wings and they were absolutely amazing—honestly, probably some of the best wings we’ve ever had!

Absolutely loved our experience at this restaurant! The chicken nachos were outstanding—crispy, flavorful, and loaded with toppings. Have came to beck’s throughout my whole life. Food has always been consistently great. Came recently and got the beck burger. Always a staple. Cooked great as always. My most recent visit was not the best. Service was slower and order got messed up. Hence the 4 stars. Only complaint is the way the restaurant is set up. The dining section around the bar can become difficult depending on Crowd. The back dining area is basically a dungeon. Overall however. Great food. Best restaurant in downtown Sykesville

Come on down to downtown Sykesville! Spend the afternoon shopping Main Street then stop at Beck’s for a meal. Friendly staff, great food. About a 20 min wait on a busy Friday night. Love that they partner with local businesses to provide fresh ingredients. It was a busy night out and the room’s acoustics are already so-so, and there was a medium sized party with multiple loud children. We actually considered leaving because of the noise they were making. Once they left, it was much more tolerable. This is not the restaurant’s fault, of course. Just a heads up that it could happen. Love this little local business. Catering also available.
