We drove out to Muenster to hit up Fischer’s Meat Market and decided to stop at Rohmer’s for lunch. Quiet, cozy spot and still plenty busy. I had the chicken schnitzel with potatoes and sauerkraut. It was fine, just a little light on flavor. My husband had the Reuben and loved it.
Service was fantastic. Super friendly and welcoming. I’d go back and just order a Rueben.

6/19/25 I live in Jacksonville,FL and i came over here in the area to visit so i decided to take a peek at this Restaurant 🙂 I gotta say Everything was clean, and neat, staff was really nice, and It was really packed in the building! i ordered the Fried Chicken Meal with Butter Corn n Mash Potatoes. The Fried Chicken was not bad however it was missing some seasoning.. but it was still not bad. Corn was really good i enjoy that! Mash potatoes i forgot to ask for no gravy but it was still not bad. Overall Food was 8/10 But the Next time i will try the Steak Sirlion and give that a try. i will visit again indeed 😀

Don’t let the country cafe appearance fool you: these people know how to serve up some great German food. I highly recommend the rueben and the schnitzel (we tried both the pork and chicken and both were fantastic). Friendly staff and service. We didn’t get to try the salad bar or the pie but both looked great. I was surprised that this was the only German restaurant in a German town, but I guess it’s because Rohmer’s is the only one you need.

Excellent snitzel and sausage. My wife had hamburger steak. Fried potatoes and onions were fantastic. Cabbage was awesome!!!!
Update. Had the same thing again 2 years later, better than last time, and that’s saying something. My wife had the chicken noodle soup. That’s the way it should be mad!!!!

So called German food. No flavor, no taste. How do you screw up fried potatoes? Chicken was bland. I’ve had german food before, and this, isn’t it. Part of the menu is Mexican food and hamburgers. Nothing authentic about this place, except the dust on the chairs.

Rohmer’s had a broad menu. The Wiener Schnitzel and smoked sausage plate and Reuben sandwich plate were very good. Great service and good prices. We will be back the next time we are in Muenster Texas!

It’s such a lovely restaurant. Our waitress was friendly and funny, I forgot her name (sorry). We started with an appetizer of the stuffed jalapeños. They were smooth tasting but not too hot of an appetizer. The Schnitzel and Sausage plate was excellent, but I was particularly fond of the smoked sausage it had a simple yet deep flavor. The red cabbage and the potato salad were very good as well. Coconut cream pie, how can you go wrong? It was yummy! Not a huge fan of German food, no problem, there are plenty of other options. 5 stars only because I can not add more!
