This place has been around for a lot of years for a reason. The food is good! I hadn’t been in for a while. Apparently new owners took charge over a year ago and really elevated the menu. We were nothing but pleased with the quality of food and the overall preparation. The servers were professional and spot on. The photos will give you a good idea and what to expect. Strongly recommend.

Overall, great place if you like lake side shanty bar type places. My girl and I had the salmon bite appetizer and it was amazing leaving you wish there were more in the basket. I had the clamp strip basket and they were cooked perfectly. I posted my girls meal but can’t remember the name of it but she loved it. The upstairs balcony is nice and helps you forget you aren’t in Florida but are in Lansing. It has a lot of space inside but my only complaint is that I don’t remember seeing a seat yourself sign. Thankfully we just walked upstairs and we were able to find a high top to sit at… we’ll be back for sure.

First time to try Blue Gill Grill and it was okay. I ordered a Blue Gill Basket and the food was fine. The food was well packed with napkins and plastic fork and knife. The fried fish was okay, bit not the best, the tartar sauce and the fries were good. Nice place to visit.

Great atmosphere and friendly service. The new Soup Flight was excellent and the Chicken Caesar Salad was phenomenal. We are going back Friday night to hear The Kathy Ford Band. Great place for live entertainment. This place looks like it would be happening on a nice Michigan summer night when they roll up the windows. Pretty cool place.

If you are used to curated cocktails this place is not for you. If you are looking for drinks and bar food in an interesting environment- beachy , this place is for you. It is close to Lake Lansing and you may feel like you are inside of a small ship. But that is the point. The food was bar food. The fish tacos were very salty and very cooked. However, our bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. Since I love murals Enjoy the murals from the bathroom.

Really like this place! Had the Blue Gill Basket. Blue Gill, Onion Rings, and Hush Puppies were very good. Cole Slaw was ok. Been here a few times before and always enjoy it. Had the Grouoer Fingers before, which I LOVE, but don’t see it on the menu anymore

Amazing place! We were at the park across the street and saw this restaurant. The food was plentiful and reasonable. The fish tacos melted in my mouth. My friend had the really tasty olive burger. Highly recommend it!!

The food was very good, especially the French fries! There was one server and she handled the room like a one person staff. The atmosphere was just as you might think with a name like Blue Gill Grill. Nautical theme.
