Stopped by and had a few drinks at the bar. The bartender Stephanie was terrific and so were the drinks. I ordered the cheesecake boli and it was decent. However I ordered the Alfredo with chicken to go only to get back and my gf opened the box to an absolutely awful order of cold, stale pasta with rubber chicken. It’s like they didn’t even try to put together a decent order of food. We wont be back.

Although Grotto Pizza is a Delaware/Maryland chain, it typically caters to local customers. Their locations span pretty much from Rehoboth Beach to Concord Pike. It’s been awhile since we’ve dined in one, so we figured we try it again.
Their pizza is fairly well prepared. The crust is crispy and thin. However, the sauce seems to be a bit blend, like lacking some seasoning or spices. Toppings are good, and they do offer a variety of special pizzas. Staff was friendly and helpful. The dining experience seems lacking a bit, although it’s no fault of the management nor the staff. It just seems like dining in a crowded diner, than a top notch pizza place.

Where should I said first , Rick has something special here, we couldn’t quite figure it not but we will have time next summer to figure it out more! From the moment I park it felt different, I felt positive energy though out our stay! We never stay at a B&B before so we didn’t know what to expect, but we love every minute of it! It’s 2 and half blocks from Lewes Beach, Rick has bikes you can use at NO COST, he has a ICE machine at No cost, he has plenty of water, snacks in the kitchen area! I mean Rick and his crew are Awesome!

Stopped for pizza here while in town following an event hosted by friends. This chain pizza spot did the job for hungry hotel guests. Experience, food and service was as expected. Prices were very reasonable. Plenty of seating was available. Bar was also available on site. Menu had a bunch of options. Parking available on site.

Grotto’s provides a great sports bar atmosphere. Let the truth be told I personally utilize them for their delicious Buffalo Hot Wings, but they do come at an expense considering the serving amount.

This business is easy to access with sufficient parking. Staff was professional and friendly with every interaction. Have been dining at a Grotto’s Pizza for more decades than I care to count. You can count on consistent excellence with the menu item of your choice and with friendly staff. Last, but not least, the founder of Grottos Pizza was once my High School teacher. Have to remain loyal to the Pizza that identifies Delaware .

Great pizza in a brand new large location! We were assisted immediately even while one bartender was taking care of a lot of tables and multiple people sitting outside. Their patio is great if you’d like to bring your dog or to enjoy the weather.
All of the food was delicious and came out quickly. Also, very convenient location which is quick to get to if you’re coming from the highway, a great option for anyone who is hungry in Middletown!
The sidewinder fries are great with the perfect portion of bacon, cheese, and sour cream if you get them loaded, and the regular is a great size to start with. Costs are totally reasonable, no need to break the bank to have a good meal.
They even flagged me down as I was about to pull away without my box of leftovers, talk about amazing service!

I am usually excited about going to Grotto Pizza. However during our last visit their appetizers and side dishes tasted like frozen entrees. Not a great place to spend your hard earned money.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. We came in with 40 people from a wedding and this was hands down the most unprofessional bartender. She intentionally refused to serve us because she assumed I was Intoxicated although I was the only person drinking diet soda. There were no patrons in grottos except our wedding party and so we were not disturbing anyone after sitting for 30 minutes no drink we asked another restaurant employee and we asked for diet soda and she then refused to grab me a drink because she was only stocking things. These girls are the reason on a Saturday this restaurant was empty with the exception of our group and she made some snide remarks to the groom and had we known we’d be treated with such substandard service we would have gone to crooked hammer.
