Paul is an excellent waiter. His constant response is priceless. He made sure that I didn’t have an allergy reaction to the food. He continued coming by to asked if we’re alright. We think he is the best waiter we’ve ever had at Longhorn in Slide, Louisiana.

We’ve been driving (1 hr) here for last several months to eat. The wing appetizer is soooo good. I take extra order home. Steak is delicious. Salmon dinner w/pilaf omg. Meatloaf & ribs all were delicious. Service had always been great.

We showed up about an hour before closing and the hostess seated us right away, she could have been a bit friendlier though. The waitress was really great and attentive. Food was really good as always, steak was cooked perfectly. The shrimp app was really good and great portion size.

They Were Out Of The Main Appetizers & Sides We Wanted, But Those Chicken Bites & Mushrooms Were Really Good! Texas Tonions Were More Breading Than Onion. Our Steaks Were Either Over/Undercooked Or Over/Underseasoned. So That Was Disappointing. I Think The Appetizers & Salads Were The Star Of The Show That Night. We Were Pleased With The Service & How Management Accommodated Us For The Inconveniences. Overall I Give My Whole Experience A 6.5/10

The food here is usually pretty good. I will say their burgers are not particularly seasoned, which surprises me because the steaks typically are. That’s fine if you like letting the meat shine – and the beef is usually good quality – but I like a little more seasoning on mine. Their soups are excellent, and the salads were fresh with good, tasted like house dressings.
The service was great, we were kept topped up and handled but not constantly bothered, which I love.

I went to this Longhorn’s location on 5/13 and decided to wait to write my review because I was so upset. First, upon walking in the floor of the restaurant was wet and we were seating at a table with soaked towels on the floor next to the booth. Then, our server (the name on the receipt says Courtney W.) takes our order and comes back to let me know they didn’t have the shrimp to do the combo they offer on the menu. I was fine with that but that meant that I was going down from the combo (steak, shrimp, rice, and two sides) to steak and one side and anything else would be extra. I downsized to just the steak and side and made it clear I would like everything to be cooked in oil rather than butter as I have a dairy allergy. I was not made aware the steak size would decrease as well as the steak I was give was not even the size of my palm. Well, when our food came out my meal was cooked in butter. Around 5-10 minutes later once we got our server to come back to the table to get it corrected she seemed irritated with my request, left, and then came back several minutes later with browned broccoli and a bottle of oil. I wasn’t sure what to say as I had just wanted anything normally cooked in butter to be cooked with oil (other locations have been able to accommodate this) and not a bottle of oil to put on my food. Unfortunately it was a pathetic experience and I will not be returning to this location.

This place was AWESOME!! Our server I wish I could remember her name!!! She was the BEST server I’ve ever had!!!! I’m not even joking…. The food was so good! Big portions! All around it was a very nice experience! We went for my daughter’s 16th birthday!

Great atmosphere. Large food portions. Tasty steak. Great for large groups. Our Waitress CARMEN was great with our large group. She handled all of the personalities at our table very well. We celebrated a birthday with about 10 people. CARMEN was patient, professional, gave food recommendations, and attentive. She definitely added joy to our experience. If we go back with a group, we want her as a Waitress again.

A solid experience was provided by Ms Jade and the elite staff of the Slidell Longhorn. Now competing with two other steak houses in the local area. Its no surprise though, as those with a talent for hospitality would flourish in the atmosphere that comes with this business. While some details may go unnoticed in this style of industry now over 100 locations strong. We find ourselves extremely satisfied nonetheless, as good beef is not hard to find, but the personal touch in this corporate language of classic edible landscapes gives me hope. We’ll see you again Longhorns.

Always awesome food. The flo’s filet never disappoints! All of the sides were great and so was the salad. They have a great selection even if you don’t want steak. Ask for Paul. He was an amazing server! So friendly and kind!
