I had a truly disappointing experience at this restaurant. We waited 1 hour and 40 minutes just to receive a drink, which is completely unacceptable. Throughout this time, the manager’s attitude made it feel as though our order simply did not matter.
The most frustrating part was the lack of basic courtesy and accountability. While the owner did eventually apologise, it does not excuse the fact that single tables deserve the same level of service as any other guest. In the end, I left without ever receiving a meal.
For an establishment of this calibre, the service delivery and professionalism were extremely poor. Long wait times, dismissive, arrogant and young management, with a lack of respect for customers made this experience genuinely unpleasant. Not worth your time, give this place a miss. This was a week long holiday in Brisbane ended with a disappointing experience. I would greatly recommend La Dolce vita Ristorante they extremely busy serve great food and offer amazing service. Attached are some pictures of La Dolce try it!

Gusto Da Gianni . Portside Hamilton. Gianni your wonderful Italian Restaurant had every element that I love about my heritage.. Warmth good food, wine, staff and music.
I was allowed bring my own and the amazingly calm and only to happy to help Christian supplied the speaker when mine proved to be inadequate.
Gianni from the moment I walked into your restaurant Giuseppe and Christian assisted me to bring alive the atmosphere and scene for my Stitch Event.
To say my guests were impressed and enjoyed the Event at Gianni Da Gusto is an under statement.
We laughed we enjoyed wonderful food an wine. We even attempted to dance.
This time I almost brought to life my vision for The Stitch Event at Gusto Da Gianni.
I will come in personally to discuss on how we improve the next one later in the year.
Once again Gianni your restaurant and staff are a credit to you.

Brilliant location right on the river. Excellent Italian food and the wine!! Ask Sammy for his recommendation and let him amaze you with what he brings to the table. Giuseppe is always good for a story and couldn’t be more hospitable. The entire staff are lovely and deliver a little slice of Italia in the heart of Brisbane!

Went there last night for NYE – the waitress was moody no smile whatsoever..
When I booked they said no split bills so my group all looked at AlaCarte Menu & had the right money.
However my “grilled” prawns $38 were NOT grilled the fennel salad didn’t taste dressed well I had to ask for lemon to lift the bland prawns & dish. The fish a friend orders was nice but small. The atmosphere ambience & owner were lovely however won’t be back.

Not a well-done meat eaters restaurant . It’s such a beautiful venue. Riverside, great atmosphere, even hand soup inside bathroom is Aesop. Food quality is high, very nice steak. The reason I gave 2 to the food, and 3 to the service as I ordered the 1.2kg of steak on grill, asking for well-done. Came up mid-well, nice presented, nice cut but nothing close to well-done. Great for those ppl eat Mid-well. Sent back, came back burned. Like charcoal. Spoke to the owner his reply was you know this is put on the grill, what do you expect? I only eat well done, this just means the fire control by the chef not good, and if other place can do it, why he cannot? Totally don’t like the charcoal and his attitude

An excellent Saturday evening dinner that was made that much better by the food and service.
From the get-go the staff were excellent and attentive and this continued even when the restaurant was full. Manager Christian was brilliant with his chat, advice and advice on food choices and wine.
From the entree to the mains the meals were an ample side and full of flavour.
Outside tables were great and catching that bit of breeze making it such a pleasant meal.

This restaurant wrote asking for feedback direct to them, before doing a review. They didn’t respond at all to feedback, as others have done. The whole booking process was very messy on their part. They mixed up my booking with someone’s called Nick. I emailed to advise them & even out of courtesy called them. My booking was for the day after. When we arrived, the older gentleman was not warm or welcoming. We were originally offered a choice of table, but he refused to allow that. We were all surprised by his aloof attitude. The girl who looked after our table was pretty good. We tried to enjoy our night, as food was good & company awesome. On our way out, the same grumpy man checked to make sure we were charged for everything. We were grateful the nice waitress took over. We think he may have been either a manager or co owner, but he needs to be more courteous and warmer to his paying customers!!

The service was attentive, enthusiastic, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening.
