The Sandbar Grill in Dunedin is one of my favorite spots in town—especially if you’re a shrimp lover. Their Shrimpin’ Ain’t Easy dish is always fresh, perfectly seasoned and cooked just right.
The atmosphere is relaxed and beachy, making it a nice place to unwind. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the service always feels personal. Pair that with great drinks and a breezy coastal vibe and you’ve got the perfect hangout.

You guys missed it! Lovely evening, pleasant music, and a wonderful crab boil! So generous – really was enough food for us both~ Barb, our waittress, was attentive and friendly. All around a wonderful experience. Apparently the Sandbar has the crab boil every third Tuesday. Least expensive and most delicious dinner in a long time at a restaurant! And the rest of the menu looks really good too! We’ll be back!

From the moment we arrived, Kelsey and Keith made us feel incredibly welcome. They were both so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed — always with a smile and a warm attitude that made the experience even more enjoyable.
A special shoutout to Keith, who went above and beyond by offering to take our photos — and he captured some beautiful moments for us that we’ll cherish! It’s little things like that which show how much they care about their guests.
You can tell they truly love what they do, and it shows in the quality of their service and how they interact with everyone. We left feeling not just satisfied, but genuinely cared for.

We stopped here after finding another local favorite had a 2 hour wait. This was an excellent choice! Great patio atmosphere and all of the ladies working were very friendly! Great tasting food for the price. The weekends they offer smoked chicken & ribs and even that was excellent. Feels like a locals type of hangout and we loved it!
