Food was good. Prices were ok. Service was lacking. We promptly got seated tonight. Ordered Fajitas and fried tacos. Wife wanted the skinny marg with an extra shot of tequila. Got the bill and the extra shot was $11. So her drink ended up being $23. Crazy. Also had to go find the waitress to get to-go containers. She was in the kitchen playing on her phone. She laughed and I said why are you laughing and she said “because you had to come find me”. I said, yeah you weren’t coming to our table to clean anything up and she said, yeah, I don’t do that. I have bussers that wait until you’re gone.
Terrible because our table had so much on it, I could barely write write on the ticket to settle up. Do better.

Just a short 10 minute waitlist on Saturday at 5:00 pm. Food was delicious! Will definitely return. Travis Kelce was right.

Cute restaurant, fast lunchtime service with great lunch specials. The Michelada made with Pacifico, was delicious! Not too much tomato juice, good heat level. The Mexican tacos were amazing! The Pastor is the best I’ve had in a restaurant, and the Verde salsa was killer! Finally a salsa with heat! It’s hard to find that in the Midwest.

I don’t give too many 5 star reviews because there’s always room for improvement. However Rudy’s has a pretty perfect system in place with their staff and chefs. Our server was very attentive and the food was made extremely well. The presentation and plating made everything look delicious in addition to tasting amazing. The food had a street tacos feel and the atmosphere was very friendly and inviting. I definitely recommend stopping here for great Mexican food.

I placed an online order for carryout on New Year’s Eve. At the time of pickup, their computer system was down so our order was not ready. The manager working that day went above and beyond to fix the problem and get us our order on a busy holiday shift, even after they were closed for the day. Cannot say enough positive things about this level of customer service!

A great little Mexican restaurant with great service. The pork tenderloin is great.
2nd time – The wife’s meal was great, the Pork Tenderloin was not as good as the 1st, they could have changed something, which is fine, just wasn’t as breaded as I like. The service seemed slower, but the waiter was really good. I bet we waited for 10 min until he came around, I’m sure there were not enough people working. We will be back. There salsa is really good, it wasn’t chunky, which I really like.

I have enjoyed Rudy’s in Westport with nothing but 5 stars to give and thought I would try the Lenexa location. Big mistake! The food was bland and service was poor. Very disappointing experience. If you want the ultimate Rudy’s experience, it’s worth the drive to Westport!
