Not local, and stumbled over this place when I had to stay for a while.
Came back regularly after that and now, every time I head down to Columbus, this is my favorite place to have breakfast.
Staff has always welcoming and kind to me and I’ve had fantastic conversations here.
Food is no frills – you get what you ordered, but I’ve yet to have anything that disappointed – love their pancakes!
Happy to go back for my next breakfast.

Take a step back in time at the German Village Coffee Shop, where service and quality still matter. The staff is fast, friendly, and always ready with a warm coffee refill. The eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast were all delicious, and the prices are refreshingly reasonable in a world of overpriced breakfast spots. Stop by the German Village Coffee Shop for an authentic, cozy experience.

The German Village Coffee Shop is hands-down my favorite place for breakfast — the spot I’ll always choose when I want something genuine and satisfying. There’s something timeless and comforting about this place. It’s traditional in all the best ways: no frills, just great food made right, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first time.
The breakfast is consistently delicious, with classics done exactly how you want them. Whether it’s the perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, or their signature pancakes, everything feels homemade and hearty. The service is friendly and down-to-earth, which just adds to the charm.
If you’re looking for an authentic, traditional breakfast spot with no gimmicks — just great food and great people — this is it.

AWESOMEEEE- this is a great spot, can’t believe I haven’t been here sooner! Simple, straightforward food that doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel, but does the wheel (metaphorically) really well. Eggs made perfectly, hot hash browns and toast, and hot coffee that’s always refilled by the hosts. A little wait on a busy day, but totally worth it. KILLER prices, a whole meal cost be about $10, no frills and a great way to spend a morning with a good friend. As a smaller person, portions were also perfect and filling- not insane or too much food at all. Great price for what you get. I’ll definitely be coming back here, wishing the business the best!

Very Cute/Cool little local café. Exactly the type of place we look for when we travel. The food was excellent. Probably one of the best pancakes (loaded with blueberries, cranberries, raisins, and nuts) I’ve ever had!
We sat at the counter and watched them cook it. Prices were very good/reasonable.
The burgers here were incredible.. looked like a half pound of meat!
We will definitely be back when we come to Columbus and German town.

Our favorite breakfast in Columbus! Cozy and classic, reminds me of where my grandpa took me as a kid. Family owned and operated, very fairly priced. Foods always hot, tasty and fresh off the griddle. This is where you want to go! You will definitely enjoy it.

This is a classic diner experience with a cozy, neighborhood feel. The food was on point! Their famous Western Omelette definitely lived up to the hype, but the real star of the show was the hash browns with cheese and onions – sneakily amazing! It’s a small spot, so be prepared for a bit of a squeeze, but the friendly service and tasty food make it well worth the visit.

Stumbled across this place while looking for somewhere else to have breakfast and so glad I found it. The cook is absolutely amazing and you can watch him cook right in front of you if he said at the counter, which I did. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had in a long time and the hash browns are to die for.

I was visiting from out of town and on my last day, went here for breakfast. I’m originally from the east coast, and this brought back so many good memories. The food was amazing (I had biscuits and gravy) and the service was top notch. Be prepared to wait for a table if there’s no room at the bar, but it’s worth the wait!
