Oh my gosh Dinah’s Chicken is so delicious. This spot is super local to me, and it brought back so many childhood memories. Growing up, my mom would always bring home the classic box of fried chicken with sides, and it was hands down one of my favorite meals. To this day, it’s still one of my all-time favorite mashed potato and gravy spots, and that fried chicken has The same crunch and unique flavor that are unforgettable. Im glad this is a family-owned owned business that has been passed down for generations and is still standing string because now I get to take my kids to enjoy it as well.
I hadn’t been here in a while, and this was actually my first time dining in, and totally worth it. I honestly regret not coming back sooner. Everything tasted even better fresh and hot.
We ordered the chicken sandwich, chicken and waffles, and a shrimp lunch meal, and every single dish was absolutely delicious. You can tell the food is made fresh on the spot — the chefs were in there working their magic, and it really shows in the quality and flavor.
I highly recommend eating here in person because nothing beats enjoying this food fresh. Dina’s Chicken is a classic for a reason, and it still hits just as hard as I remember. Highly recommend! ✨

This place is as unbelievable and authentic as It gets. Hands down the best place in Los Angeles. We brought our youth program to come eat here and the owner was kind enough to give us a big discount. It was completely unexpected. She said it was her pleasure to give back to the community. Unbelievable food. Genuine owner who really cares about her customers.

Trying this restaurant since 1967 with their fried chicken specialty and loving it!
I had:
1. Fried chicken combo
2. Pineapple coleslaw – must try item! This coleslaw is not the same with all the coleslaws you’ve eaten before
3. Corn on the cob
4. Mac and cheese
5. Fried liver and gizzard

I love the down home family style of the place. The server was extremely nice and help. The chicken itself was juicy, but otherwise just okay. I would have preferred crisper skin and better seasoning but I’m also from the south and picky about fried chicken. The mashed potatoes and gravy were good. Overall, it’s a fun spot for comfort food.

I really want to support family-owned, mom-and-pop businesses, but unfortunately this chicken was a big disappointment. I honestly think you could do a blind taste test with the chicken from the Vons supermarket next door and not tell the difference. The chicken was greasy and flavorless, yet somehow the skin was still very dry, which was surprising and disappointing. The mashed potato side was nice, and the $1 drumstick deal is a great value, but once you order a full meal, the price goes up significantly and the quality doesn’t justify it. Fast and friendly service though. I do appreciate the Americana-style decor and overall experience, but the food left me feeling sick afterward and regretting spending that much money on supermarket-quality chicken.

First time trying Dinah’s. The restaurant has take out orders and indoor dining. Friendly service and really good chicken. Ordered 4 drumsticks to go and the chicken was fresh hot and delicious . The coating was light and crispy and the chicken pieces were large and very tasty. There is a wait for the chicken but every order it is made fresh and not sitting around like other fast food places. The chicken was hot juicy, super crispy and delicious but not heavily battered unlike other places. They also have shrimp platter , coleslaw, potato salad and even home made pies. Well worth a visit . Loved the chicken.

Came here before flying back overseas and was really disappointed by the quality of their chicken. Honestly felt very low quality meat and wasnt even fried, more like it was fried in the morning or the day before and warmed up before serving, no crisp or crunch whatsoever, I dont recommend it. Only good thing was the pineapple coleslaw, mac and cheese was average

OMG…we had such an amazing dining experience at Dinah’s today. Being that we were 1st time diners, our server Kim, was extremely attentive and helpful with menu suggestions. Her effervescent personality was a refreshing touch! We had an opportunity to sample a few sides, all of which were fresh, well-seasoned and flavorful. Our meals were prepared to perfection and arrived piping hot! We definitely enjoyed every bite. AND…we purchased additional items to take out. Dinah’s is a culinary experience, one that everyone should try! You’ll be pleasantly pleased.
