Went for the first time and had to wait 45 minutes for a table but it was on a Saturday night and to be expected. We grabbed a drink before being seated. Previous reviews stated to order the mussels and burgers. We did both and loved them! We had the mussels in a beer sauce and I got the smashed burger with special sauce. Huge portions, cooked to order, greasy, cheesy, and perfect. Watched some games on their television before heading out. Fun place!

This is a hidden gem nestled in the middle of a quaint little town. Delicious menu items, vibrant bar but you will see families dining as well. Try coconut shrimp and short rib quessadilla! They also have happy hour specials. Also, little known fact they have a nice size upstairs space for catering events, I recently had a funeral luncheon there and it was reasonably priced, food was excellent, and the service was stellar!!

We just tried this place Friday night and was really pleased with the craft beer selection and could not have had a better meal. We had the chicken franchise and chicken Bella bucca. The green beans and rice were delicious as was the potatoes and spinach. Prices were very reasonable as well. Highly recommend this place and we will be back. Thank you to the chef and service staff.

The best place for food!! The G.O.A.T Burger and the Fig and Pig Burger are absolutely amazing! Ask for a side of bacon jam for your fries. Also, get the sticky whiskey wings! You will not be disappointed at all! Great food and a great atmosphere!

Delicious Food! The Turkey Burger was on a special and decided to give it a shot – it did not disappoint, it was very delicious. Great specials and nice bar area.

Great old style tavern with all the classics and some of my new favorites including the Ahi Tuna Kabob and Sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. Drinks flowed and conversation consumed the night in this wonderfully “hometown” style restaurant. Keep up the great work! Zach is an all star behind the bar!

A friend of mine from my teaching days joined me for lunch recently. I wanted to revisit the Blue Monkey Tavern since it’s been years from when I frequented there and heard it had changed owners. She had never been, so off we went!
We got there when they opened, so we were the only patrons for a while. It was a weekday so we did not expect it to be packed. The bar is impressive in size and definitely a focal point. The decor continues to be historical but fun.
The menu had some real classic and interesting choices. We started with the Coconut Shrimp appetizer. I did not get a photo of this amazing dish because we dug right in. As I write this review, my mouth is watering for this right now. My friend ordered the Sausage and Ricotta Flatbread – she shared a taste and this was really good! There is definitely something about ricotta, honey, and fresh bread. Then just add sausage. Predictable me got the Vegetable Panini. No complaints!
Service was very attentive and friendly. The place had filled up by the time we were finished.
Would I go again? Absolutely! I would probably get the flatbread next time (and of course, the coconut shrimp). #trustkj

delightful place, one of our favorite spots. here are just a few examples of the excellent menu: spicy fried chicken sandwich and coconut shrimp tacos. delectable, 10/10. blue monkey never disappoints or misses. highly recommend the blue monkey burger, but the penne alla vodka is simply another level of good. great place to go with friends!
