Tava fish – zero rating. First fish was bland , zero salt. They replaced and this time it was raw. When I cut into it, inside it was freezer cold. I had the staff touch, feel and confirm..
Upon talking to waitress about chef, he is out of town and someone else was cooking. Clearly they don’t care about quality, customer experience.
Karam podi chicken- it’s tasted good. But it’s not Karam podi chicken. Clearly it was chicken majestic. Upon requesting waiter says chef confirmed it is podi chicken. Either chef is funny or doesn’t know what he is doing And thinks customers wouldn’t know. Anyway there is no chef in kitchen that day. I can understand.
Chicken tikka kebab – 3*
Tandoori shrimp – 2*. Undercooked. Kids were ok eating ☺️
Chicken 65 – 3* kids liked
Spinach chat – 4*. Everyone liked.
Veg biryani – 1* flavorless. Veggies were raw and bland.
Chicken 65 biryani – 2* just for it’s topped with chicken 65 pieces rice is no where close to biryani or pulav taste
Chicken tikka masala – undercooked chicken. Nobody liked. Gravy was ok.
Veg Manchurian- 4*
Mutton pulav – 1* – just rice with some mutton pieces. Flavorless….
Waste of $300+
The food variety is okay in the buffet. Good options for veg and non veg. But they missed out on basic stuff like mint chutney.
The service at this place was very respectable and the service was awesome.
If you’re planning a large venue option, this place has a hall so you could use two holes. They also have a second floor for lunch dining we were able to access that as we were coming for dinner, but even on the ground floor, they have a lot of creative seating with boots tables, etc. When we’re talking about food we like the food. It has great quality, one exception that gives it a four-star rating is the quantity they service the food and if we get the paneer, we get a respectable amount but if you order other dishes, they’re generally fine the atmosphere as I said before was very good as they have two floors and creative learning experiences, Service was also very good. We have multiple servers on standby and they’re always friendly and nice thing about this place is that it is not very crowded so if you’re waiting in line, there will be a lot of lines and it would be easy to get a table.
The interior decor truly stood out, it was warm, traditional, and full of nostalgic elements that reminded me of childhood visits to my grandparents’ home. From pickle jars to rangoli designs on the walls, every detail showcased Telugu cultural roots beautifully. The ambiance was definitely the highlight of our visit.
As for the food, the buffet had both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, but the variety was a bit limited.
One nice surprise was the live dosa counter, and I was especially happy to see bitter gourd curry, one of my all-time favorites and something rarely seen in Indian buffets here.
We chose this place because of the name “Sankrathi,* expecting authentic South Indian flavors. While the food wasn’t bad, it didn’t fully live up to that expectation.
Overall, a lovely place to visit if you’re looking for a beautifully done interior and calm atmosphere. But in terms of food, it’s just okay, not quite the traditional taste we were hoping for.
# Note: This review is only based on their buffet
– I haven’t tried their à la carte menu yet.
Do not call on weekends – a lady will pick and tell you nothing as either she will be in Kitchen or somewhere other than front desk, will not help you with buffet menu and says come and chek : Wao !
The service here is as bad as the food choice and barely tests good.
Did the mistake to go for a buffet of Sat noon – regret it and paid $80 for 2 adults and 2 kids.
When i asked you don’t have Good Veg options, The Manager or the person who was taking care of seating showed me the area where they had options of satly Wada, Corn balls – No cheese in it hard chew, and Pure Maida poori – No channa, no other starter. And 1 Paneer gravy – not good enough.
This is perfect restaurant to draw a line between Veg menu, spread and choices vs Non-veg options, selection – not worth !
Not recommended, not going back !
The atmosphere was far from welcoming, and the service left much to be desired. It felt as though accommodating our needs as a family was not a priority. On the plus side, the food was okay, and the live dosa section was a nice touch, but the overall experience was marred by the poor service and uncomfortable seating arrangement.
I hope the management can improve their customer service, especially for families with young children, to create a more pleasant dining experience for everyone.
