At our Colorado Springs, CO location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We have not been to this location in years. We ordered 5 Butterfly Shrimp, 3 Stuffed Crab, 1 Seafood Trio Platter with Fries,corn on the cob and 1 small drink. Kelley Guest took our order. He was professional and very efficient. The Facility was kept up. And the food was excellent. Kudos to the staff and management.

My mom and I ate here last night. We ordered the grilled white fish platter with green beans and coleslaw, as well as their clam strips and butterfly shrimp appetizer basket. It was very fresh, fast, affordable and delicious! I need to eat at Captain D’s more often. The music that was playing was also fun.

5/14/23-This place reminded me of how much I have missed eating at Captain D’s. This is the standard that I hold other fried fish to. The batter on the fish is seasoned perfectly, and cooked to perfection. Also a great price for what you get.

I ordered fish & shrimp through the drive-thru. When I got home I had CHICKEN & shrimp. I’m pescatarian, and I don’t eat meat only seafood. I was so mad, I had to throw half of my food away? I guess the cook doesn’t know the difference between fish and chicken. What a waste! NO STARS

The customer service in the drive-thru today was absolutely horrible. While I was ordering I said that’s everything and went to mention that we needed tartar sauce but drew a blank on the name of it and she replied with the name but in a tone that made me feel very stupid for forgetting. When I got to the window the guy open the window grabbed my card without saying 1 word and did the same thing when he gave it back and when he handed me the bag of food and as I went to say thanks the window slammed in my face. The fries were soooo cold and old I could t eat them and the line with only 2 cars ahead of me took almost 20 minutes to get there food.

They got a little makeover on the outside but it just feels cold and rundown on the inside. The crew was not communicating well, it felt like they all disliked each other. A gentleman had been waiting about 30 minutes for his food and they didn’t even apologize. And as for our food, it was mid. Definitely not like it used to taste. The hushpuppies were dryer than dry and Itty bitty, the fries were cold and the fish was barely mid. It definitely was not worth going back.

Ordered jalapeno poppers from the drive thru. Most of our order was burnt. There were multiple cooked beyond recognition, cheese completely gone. Exploded and dry shells of dough. I’ve never had an order like this and am very disappointed. The cost has increased almost double and these aren’t even edible.

First time here. I ordered online ahead of time. Still had to wait another 15 min after online gave me a wait of 20min from the time I ordered for pick up. No one was inside the lobby, the person that helped me at the front desk was kind but all staff I was able to see they were all lazy like no energy no positive energy. They helped 4-5 other customers prior to getting my order. Communication has to improve if they are running late on orders or at least let customers know in a friendly manner. I don’t think I’ll go back.
