Very friendly service, and layback atmosphere.
The burgers are classic and delicious. You know it will be good when they ask “how would you like your burger cooked?”. You actually get a large, fat meat instead of the thin dry patties.
The prices are average and they offer a great value.
The patio is just perfect when the weather allows for it.

I only visited this place once, and I’m not local, but it honestly impressed me. The service was incredibly kind, and the whole place had a really welcoming vibe. The burgers were the highlight—super tasty and cooked just right.
Even as someone just passing through, it’s a spot I’d happily return to if I’m ever back in the area.

The food is absolutely delicious! The burgers are huge and delicious, and quite well cooked. The barbecue sauce was tangy and delicious with the Gateway Burger. I was looking forward to trying the onion rings, but ended up not having room after the burger!
Some reviews have mentioned the service – the servers are not overenthusiastic in their greetings as other restaurants, but the service is damn good. They have a very subtle style of attentiveness, not always asking if you need something but noticing when you do, keeping an eye on you. They check in at the exact points – when the food hits the table, after two bites, and when your plate is just about done. There were two servers today and they were both multitasking and on top of all their tables, and their demeanor just happens to be more casual comfort. Definitely wouldn’t dock them any service points. If you do tend to prefer more enthusiastic service, it might not be the best match, but theirs is still a service style that will get you what you need.
I’m not currently living in STL, but will definitely be returning next time I’m in the city!

I absolutely loved it! The team worked together to ensure everyone could get things done. Upon entry , we were immediately sat, we had a guy bring us waters , and shortly after our server, it was a group effort, and this really helps. i love the system they have! Very ECO FRIENDLY!! Paper to go bags, paper togo containers, and many other things. I absolutely loved that. The food was spectacular, and the price made a lot of sense. It cost 20 dollars per person, and we got fries burgers and additional specialty drinks. I loved the variety offered in the menu! The server we had was amazing and clearly working hard, she had many tables she served and she checked with us constantly weather it be a brief head nod, I felt that shows we are still on her radar! I felt that was the most effective method when servicing others. The food arrived quickly we didn’t wait long nor where we treated different due to not wearing going out clothes we were in comfort attire but it felt like we got over 5 star service no matter the appearance. I will come again, but even more so, we have already added this to the family event spot due to the spectacular service and, of course, the food!

Great burgers for an awesome price especially for the quality! I was able to smell the burgers from where I parked! Service was fast for how busy the location was during my visit. I will be returning to try more of their menu, but the Green Chili burger and the Patty Melt burgers were remarkable. Onion rings were delicious, fries were great, and the Sweet potato fries were good. Their specials change often, and they offer indoor and outdoor seating, along with bar seating and a great selection of beers on tap and local sodas.

I recently dined at Five Star Burgers, and I have to say, the burgers were five-star quality—delicious and well-prepared! However, the service left much to be desired, earning only one star in my book.
From the moment we arrived, there was no warm welcome from either the host or our server, which was disappointing for our first visit. While the burgers and sides were tasty, I found them to be overpriced, especially considering the lackluster service.
Our server only visited our table three times: to take our orders, deliver our food, and to give us the check at the end. There was minimal engagement, which really detracted from the overall experience.
I truly hope the team can improve their customer service to match the quality of the food, as I would love to see this place thrive!

Nice atmosphere, very relaxed. The food was excellent, and good value for how much you get. I got a little of everything. However “The patty
melts my heart” was fantastic. The hatch chilis and cheese smothering the tasty beef patties between to buttered and crispy slices of thick bread really set the burger off. The chili was wonderful as well. The fries came out hot and crispy and were salted just right.

In town for a seminar, and looked for a burger place close to the Clayton Plaza Hotel where I was staying. Liked the photos so tried it out, and it was great food. Stella was my server and she was very kind and was quick to answer my questions about the menu. Price of my lunch was very reasonable considering the quality of food and service. Lots of young kids here too but I’m a 37 year old dad and it was a good vibe/ambience.
