So – we’re from Austin and took a chance here. No – it’s not like Texas, TexMex, but they do a damn good job up in the middle of the North woods.

Guac is real avocados with no “fillers” (sour cream, etc). Food was AMPLE and fresh.

Margaritas – rocks and Tajined rim, were solid.

The only thing lacking was deep, TexMex seasoning and spice. BUT, for an overcast, near freezing day way up here in N. Wisconsin, we were happy with our choices and left very full (like all good Mexican restaurants).

Bonus – and not a surprise at a Mexican restaurant @ dinner time, packed with all types of families, older folks. It felt like the neighborhood comes here at least once a week. It’s also super clean and well decorated.

Don’t hesitate coming here. It’s a good time.

Very good food and margaritas. I had a veggie chimichanga. Yum. We suggested they serve cherry margaritas. Doesn’t that sound good? We settled for a berry one which was really really good. Highly recommend.

We happened upon Casa Mexicana while going shopping. And it was AMAZING!! Sorry forgot to take pictures but we got the 10 taco wheel, Steak Fajita, Steak Fajita Nachos and the Mexicana Deluxe Burrito two margaritas and the Island Tiki and everything was superb! Not only did it come out fast but it was fresh and piping hot!! The Steak Fajita Nachos is literally enough for two maybe even three people.
Definitely give them a try is visiting Rhinelander!!

Some of the best and most consistent food you’ll find in the Northwoods! I’ve eaten here and at other locations over the last 10+ years and have yet to be disappointed. I ordered the Al Pastor street tacos Mexican style (onion & cilantro), and a Michelada. Both were excellent. Ask for some house made hot sauce if you like to spice things up. The only suggestion I’d have….more AUTHENTIC dishes please. Lengua & cabeza tacos would be an awesome addition.

We have wanted to try this restaurant for a long while. We travel up to our cabin in sugar camp from Madison a number of times a year and always drive past this place on our way but it is usually late in the evening. This recent trip we arrived earlier and excitedly stopped to give it a try. And we were so happy with it! The food was great and service was welcoming, attentive and friendly. It was a Friday evening and it was busy and now we know why! Prices were great (in our opinion) and the added technology fee of a couple bucks on our bill wasn’t an issue for us at all. We are happy to support locally owned businesses and this just comes with that.

Ooph, good service and cute decor but our lunch was disgusting. Watery chicken enchiladas that made the tortillas soggy directly from the kitchen. The chicken was overcooked in liquid so it was very dry despite swimming in unflavored water. The only flavor was a single note spice that I had never experienced before, like anise or nutmeg? Gross! Quesidilla with barely a whiff of cheese? Not to mention that the prices we were charged were not the lunch special prices. Laughed when we passed the Taco Bell up the road, and seriously considered going there to actually eat something. Will never return.

My food was not fully cooked… fajita veggies were very raw… guacamole turned brown on top… service was kind of cranky… ordered a watermelon slushy with tequila… tequila was to be in a mini bottle upside down in slushy and it never came… I felt we were rushed to eat and go

We arrived around 4:00 pm on a Saturday, thinking this place would probably be pretty empty. In the section of 6 Booths where we were seated, 2 were already occupied, and the flow of customers in and out was steady. The menu is very extensive so it took us a while to make our decisions. My husband ordered the Chili Colorado which was $14.99 and I ordered the Enchalada Vallarta for $12.99. Chips & salsa were brought before the meal as is usual in Mexican restaurants. The chips were not made in-house, but store bought, and just ordinary. The salsa was very mild, so it was something I could eat. A 3% “Technology Fee” was added to the bill, and since I paid with a credit card instead of cash I don’t know if that is something that would have been taken off if I had paid with cash. The food was good, but my husband said he had expected the beef he had to be more tender than it was.
