Red Mill is soooo good. Their burgers are definitely in my top 5, and I think their milkshakes are great too! My friend really enjoys their chowder — I haven’t tried it personally, but he is a big fan. The aesthetic is totally old school, and I love that. There is definitely a nostalgic diner style that they’re going for. There is both indoor and outdoor seating — along with indoor stool seating if you wish to dine-in by yourself.

I will say the price can sometimes be on the higher end, and fries cost a bit extra — but that’s pretty typical for Seattle, so I don’t fault them for it. Plus, the food is great quality and delicious, so I personally think it’s totally worth it. During peak evening hours, there can sometimes (not always!) be a 15–20 minute wait for food, so just be patient. I know everything looks and smells amazing haha, but you can tell the staff is always busy working through a ton of orders. I haven’t placed an online order myself, but they do offer that option if you want to order take-out and swing by about 20 minutes later — which honestly seems like a smart move. Staff are always polite — not super chatty, but that isn’t a bad thing!

I love coming here as a treat every once in awhile. Definitely recommend!

Red Mill Burgers truly stands out, not just as a local chain, but as a contender for the best burgers in the area. Every visit is a treat I genuinely look forward to. There’s a certain nostalgia baked into the whole experience—from the classic look of their locations to the simple, focused menu—that makes it feel like more than just a quick meal.
The burgers themselves are simply outstanding. What makes them so really great is the perfect execution of the fundamentals. The beef is consistently juicy and flavorful, clearly high quality. They manage to strike that perfect balance where the patty is substantial without being overwhelming.
The toppings are key, too. I particularly appreciate their commitment to fresh, crisp lettuce and tomatoes, and the way their secret sauce or whatever condiment they use ties it all together without overpowering the beef. And let’s not forget the bun—it’s always fresh and holds up to the generous fillings without getting soggy. And their bacon, I could go on forever about how yummy their bacon is!
It’s the little things that elevate Red Mill from a good burger joint to an exceptional one, solidifying its place as what is probably the best local burger chain around. It’s more than just a burger; it’s a reliable, delicious experience every time.

Really hefty burger and sides! The shakes are good and the fries are really crispy. The onion rings were giant and breaded so it made them super crunchy – like the breading of a chicken tender.

Good classic burgers! If you’re craving for one, this will do its job – but don’t expect something extraordinary or out of this world. The crispy onion rings are great. Tables can be a bit dirty and greasy since the staff don’t seem to clean them regularly.

The food was great and came out promptly. Prices are great compared to most burger joints. I thought the thicker cut fries were pretty good but my gf prefers thinner fries.

The person taking our order was a bit awkward. I would say what I wanted but wouldn’t get a response. I added another item—still no response. In the end, I had to be the one to say that was everything. Most people would typically ask if there’s anything else or confirm that they added the item.

A perfect classic burger spot and just about the best burger i’ve ever had, and crazy good fries too with a perfect level of crispy crunch. extremely fresh ingredients and tried and true flavors make it about as perfect as a classic burger can be. I also highly recommend the milkshakes too.

Red Mill has a GREAT thing going. They crank out consistent quality burgers, fries and shakes and the order has been on time and correct all but one time. Nice casual vibe for dine-in but it’s a HUGE hit for carry out, as you can see any night of the week.

Keep up the great work Red Mill. You are a neighborhood FAV!

Still just a great place to grab a delicious burger. Or in this case a bacon, double cheeseburger with onion rings and a coke. Simple and tasty. You can’t go wrong.

The food is pretty good; however, the building is disgusting which makes me wonder about the kitchen. My husband and I ordered burgers, shakes, and onion rings. The food was decent, but the booth we sat in was absolutely filthy. It started with not being cleaned from the previous patrons. I sat in something sticky, but decided to clean it myself. Went into the bathroom and it wasn’t ghastly, but definitely could have better. The filters have caked on dirt and grime. I cleaned my seat and as I look at the items on the wall I noticed the layers of sticky things and dust. While I can take into account this is an older building there is just no excuse for the dining area to be this horrible. This doesn’t make me want to go back. In fact I’m hoping we don’t get sick.

Amazing burgers, indifferent staff, grimy interior & seating.
Juicy, perfectly cooked tasty burgers, nice brioche buns, plenty of fresh toppings, really thick bacon. Onion rings are amazing – and I’m not usual a fan of them. Crispy coating wasn’t too thick, and the pepper in the batter was a nice flavor.
Staff had bare minimal interaction with us.
The chairs had a comfortably thick layer of grease and dirt on the back, and so did the door handle. The tired interior included a dusty clock at table level – a relic of the 50’s.
But would I go back for those amazing burgers? Yes, any day.
