The garlic cheese tots were nasty, that garlic sauce on it is so gross I can’t even describe it.
The Mac and cheese was terrible, so chalky and no flavor!
The girl who checked us out was also rude. The lady in the kitchen was very sweet and talked to my son!
The service is quick, so you don’t have to wait long for your food. I used to always order the half sandwich with either soup or salad, but this time, I went for the full sandwich since the half portion wasn’t quite enough for me. The portions are good, but I just can’t get enough!
A great spot for a tasty and satisfying meal.
I love the concept. I know people really like their food, but I was under-impressed. I guess my expectations were more than what was delivered.
The ambiance is not warm. It’s kind of industrial and very casual. I am sure the blowing wind and 4⁰ temperature outside added to the coldness of the space.
You order your food at a counter and they deliver it to your table. My wife and I both went with a Pick 2 and chose the half sandwich and soup option. I had The Italian Melt and the Creamy Tomato Soup. She had the Bacon Fig and Goat (cheese) and Classic Tomato Soup
Both sandwiches were good, I probably should have gone with a full sandwich, it was only four bites (maybe five for a normal person).
My wife’s handheld, also known as the BFG, was wonderful with the goat cheese melting perfectly with the bacon, sautéed onions, fig preserves and mozzarella cheese. Best part of the meal.
My creamy tomato soup was a trainwreck. First, it was lukewarm, not what I needed on a freezing cold day. Second, it was not creamy, and the tomato taste was light. It just did not work at all.
I did enjoy my wife’s classic tomato soup. More of a rich tomato taste and it had more seasoning in it.
Overall disappointing, but I want to visit another location on a warmer day and see if it was just that store. I really wanted to like this place. #MattGoodEats
The Mac & Cheese is so thick and creamy. I got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and it was the perfect blend of warm and crunchy!
Don’t even get me started on the chocolate chip cookies!
A great meal and a great price!
They serve Pepsi products here (that’s an immediate bonus for me).
My fiance really loved his buffalo chicken melt. He said his Mac and cheese was decent but left something to be desired. I liked my bacon and cheese melt, but the cheese was a bit overpowering so it wasn’t quite as bacon-y as I expected (don’t get it twisted, though — it was still delicious). The Mac and Chee donut was… Bizarre. It’s not something that I would order again, but I’m glad I tried it and I would recommend others try it too.
The prices weren’t bad for what we got, and we received our order very quickly. They had Cartoon Network playing on the televisions and soft music playing, making a good atmosphere.
The food was amazing. The chef even came out personally to greet us and offered a sample dish, which was a really nice surprise and showed how much pride they take in their work.
Highly recommend this place
I went back this afternoon for my pickup.
Old white grandma at the desk didn’t like the name on the order. I didn’t bother pronouncing it, just showed the email. She muttered something under her breath to which the other white lady (who was normal in her interactions with me) responded to grandma “I speak many languages”.
The dang name on the order is Srinath. Not Ratajkowski or one of those 26-consonant-sans-any-vowel names. I said, “it’s not that hard to read the name on the order”. Grandma brought the bags. Other lady mentioned something about a credit card. To which I asked puzzled, “credit card?” White grandma “yeah shes asking for your credit card”. Me – “but I paid using the online system on the business website”. Other white lady “oh no you are all set, sorry about that” and proceeded to tell Grandma that she was inquiring about some other order.
My point is, please teach your employees basics like you don’t have a pay later option , on your webiste’s online ordering system. I have seen black people being questioned at McD’s, asking to see a credit card. This is a first for me. The online order receipt doesn’t mention a credit card or ID check.
EDIT – The night manager Barb asked me to talk to Chad the general manager tomorrow, to get a refund on one of the sandwiches.
Icing on the cake – no soap in the restroom that stank of poop. And of course my order was screwed up! I paid $8.99 for Pep+Chee sub wheat but instead got plain grilled cheese on white. $8.99 for this? With some burnt cheese spots here and there. Same price as the meat loaded options. Btw, I bought four sandwiches. The other three were bacon and fig, westside and west of Philly.
I will not be going back to this establishment. Anyone who treats you like you were there to steal the food you ordered, doesn’t deserve your business.
