This was my first time checking out The Rock in Covington and overall I had a really good experience. First off, parking is super easy — there’s a ton of it right out front, which takes away the usual headache of circling around looking for a spot.

Inside, the vibe is pretty fun. It’s casual and laid back but with just enough energy that it feels lively. Music playing, people talking, but not so loud that you can’t hear the person across the table. I thought it struck a good balance.

Service was solid from start to finish. Our server was friendly, got everything right, and checked in at the right times without hovering. For a first visit, that’s exactly what you want — you get a feel that the place runs smoothly and the staff know what they’re doing.

The pizza itself was tasty. The wood-fired crust had a nice chew and just enough char to give it that smoky flavor. Toppings tasted fresh, and everything came out hot and well put together. Definitely felt like a step above your average pizza chain.

The only real downside is the price. It’s not crazy expensive, but it is a bit on the higher side for pizza. Worth it for a treat or if you’re in the mood for something better quality, but probably not a weekly go-to for me.

All in all, good food, good service, plenty of parking, and a solid first impression. I’d come back again.

I’ve been to this location a few times. I don’t come here very often because the prices are so high. You can get a better woodfired pizza at MOD Pizza. Tonight totally bombed out for us.
Our $25+ pizza came out with very little toppings and completely burned on the bottom. All you could taste was the burnt crust, I think I might have had one piece of chicken on my slice. Very disappointing. Also, you can tell It’s been a while since they’ve cleaned their stove, because of all the ash and soot on the bottom of the pizza.
We also ordered two burgers tonight, one had no flavor the other was just fine. The fries were good.
It didn’t appear busy tonight, so I felt like our service was not up to par. Our waitress said she was new, so I’m giving her a break. She was friendly and professional just very slow. We had to ask for refills of our drinks, we had to ask for napkins, we had to ask for silverware, we had to ask for sauces that went with the cinnamon sugar bread sticks – you know, the basics. Very disappointing visit. Way overpriced for the quality of food and service at this place.

Late drop in, around 9pm but claim they’re open until 11. Only 3 tables with patrons. Ordered a large pizza 1/2 & 1/2. Pizza was brought to table but had to wait for server to bring plates, napkins, even though we ordered an appetizer & said plates & napkins should have been brought to table before pizza. Pizza was awful…loaded with sauce, barely any cheese & toppings were scarce. The only thing this experience had going for it was the company I was in & the establishment itself is cool. Will likely NEVER come back. Oh & my husband said bathroom smelled like urine…

Atmosphere ☆☆☆ – Sensory overload. Very loud. There was a party there that definitely dominated the atmosphere and made it insanely hard to talk with my own table with their constant screaming. My wife ended up leaving right after we ordered drinks because that party really was allowed to make the atmosphere horrid.
Food ☆☆☆☆- The spicy food packed a serious flavor with impressive depth and fun flavor combinations i would never have considered. Brought some home for wife who does not like spicy food and she loved it too.
Service ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ – Suni made the entire atmosphere a thousand times better. She was literally my favorite server I’ve ever had. She was welcoming, accommodating, genuine in her kindness, and when we asked for suggestions she was very excited to give input on her favorites and what seem to be the local favorites. Her excitement even unsold us on additives and my friend who always gets the same thing was eager to switch it up.
This was my first time at the Rock. I feel like there are a million places to get really solid food. But Suni made me want to come back to the Covington Rock more. Ill be looking to be in her section *every time*.

Ordered pizza cheese bread chicken strips only item that was edible was the chicken strips. Could have over looked that because your name isn’t wood fired chicken strips

The pizza and bread was so over cooked that it is in edible. The cook had to have noticed

But sent it out on a pick up order anyway

Thank you

Really great pizza and beer/drinks served here with really nice staff that’s very polite and helpful 4 years ago. On my recent visit the service was horrible and after waiting 20 minutes and no one waited on me when they weren’t overly busy I left. Pizza is especially good with unique toppings and quality ingredients in very good crust that’s hand tossed and has a great chew. The french fries are really good and the salads are fresh and really good. Plenty of parking in the area as well.

The waiter ( Ozzy)spent an enormous amount time talking to patrons who were clearly friends while ignoring everyone else. I was in on a slow Tue night and it appeared as though there was plenty of staff around but no one appeared to care about helping customers. Pizza came out of oven and sat on counter for at least 10 minutes before being served. Dirty dishes remained on tables during my visit.I would not recommend visiting based on poor customer service. Food was good but that was it just passing this along to the manager who needs to know what employees are up to.

My family and I love this location. The staff is so nice and the food is always great. Our server was Suni, we’ve see her many times on Sunday/monday and her service is consistently wonderful. She is so attentive and genuinely sweet, and my kids love her. We hope she’s our server every time we stop by!

Pizza was great, loaded fries super tasty. Solid happy hour deals. Wings could be a bit more crispy, but sauce was solid.

Suni suggested I try the evil ways with chicken and balsamic glaze, something she called her favorite pizza here. Well now it’s my favorite too. What a great waitress and sweet girl. She hit all the markers for a quality server but also went above and beyond when she didn’t have to. Give her a raise!
