The first time being here after years of driving by, absolutely amazing. Came here for my mom’s birthday with my fiance(he’s been here before) and everything was delicious, serviced by Dominick & Alex… amazing amazing amazing!! Not only were these two guys professional but also were able to joke around and have friendly conversation. The lobster and shrimp bisque was delish, Dom had the bisque split in half since he knew my mom and I were splitting it-no fights from us there! The baked clams appetizer was good, impressed by the size of the clam itself but not much to rave about, it did satisfy and get the job done. My fiance got the filet as is, mom got filet with Gorgonzola, and I got the filet with truffle butter. My taste buds loved ALL THREE. Asparagus as a side so thick and crunchy, creamed spinach was mouth watering. What a wonderful experience here tonight, the food was wonderful & cooked to perfection! Seriously if you can ask for Dominick and Alex as your servers…you will NOT be disappointed. (My fiance who has been here before unlike my mom and I also agrees that Alex and Dom were one of the best he’s ever had) Thank you for making my mom feel special and thank you for such a lovely experience especially as a first timer leaving with full satisfied bellies from everyone.

Had our New Years Lunch with the family. We had the whole place to ourselves when we arrived but it soon filled up. We had several darters and Porterhouse Steak for the main course. One had the Hampton roll. The ambiance was lovely as it was not busy and the waiters were very attentive to us.

I personally liked this place, however someone sadly got sick who was in my party last night with food poisoning with sushi, and the food could have had better flavor, it was also a little pricy, 100$ for a bone in ribeye which looked 14 ounces. But the service was good and the place looked nice. If the person didn’t get sick I would give 4/5 stars but I do have to dock significantly since I’ve known these people for decades and they never get sick from food.

Pulled into the parking lot not expecting valet parking, but was pleasantly suprised how quick and easy it was. Walked in and we were seated relatively quickly. Me and my girlfriend ordered crab cake appetizers, and overall they were pretty good. But the server was overall rushing us to order our food, even though it was our first time eating there. So we did order I ordered the center cut filet, and my girlfriend ordered the petite filet. It took its time getting out to us, which was a little annoying. And then once our dishes came out it looked like they served us a brick. I ordered a medium rare filet so did my girlfriend. I wanted to give them the benifet of the doubt so i started cutting and eating the outside of the stake tasted like char and rubber, no juice whatsoever. The manager came over while i had food in my mouth, and startled my girlfriend and i was unable to express my displeasure with it because he had left before i was able to get a word out. And the rest of the time we were there only one person came up to us which was the bus boy whom took our plates which still had half the steak on it for each of us. Eventually our waiter came back after our table was cleaned off, and we expressed our displeasure with the food and then asked for a check, he then told us “we should’ve told the manager” we explained how the manager was quick on his feet to go from table to table so we weren’t able to tell him. So then our waiter passed down the issue to someone else? And then that person passed it down to the manager. Our waiter brought us a dessert menu after we clearly stated we just wanted the check. The manager did end up deducting $20 but charged us $14.50 for fries??? Which was the side i got with my steak. I did just end up paying for it. I highly recommend somewhere/anywhere else if you want to not waste your money.

So I came here with a party of 3. We ordered the lamb chops and marinated skirt steak, as well as French fries. First off, the skirt steak was pretty yummy, but wow was the portion size pathetic. For 59$, I got two skirt steaks 5 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, and maybe .5 inches thick. It also came with onion straws but those failed to satisfy my appetite. My fiance got lamb chops but they were horribly charred on the outside and lacking in flavor. The fries were about the only filling thing we ate. But they were 14$ for an average portion size. I’ll give credit to the manager, he gave us a 25$ coupon to come back. But I was hoping for a discount on the check. Of course he said we should’ve told him when he came by to check on us earlier, however we hadn’t started eating at that point yet. So needless to say, the portion sizes were absolutely pathetic for the money we were paying. And to charge extra for sides instead of including them, makes you hesitant to order them and you end up with a small portion of meat that doesn’t satisfy you. Oh and to top it off, I over heard the women at the front podium talking smack about a “customer who complained about their skirt steak.” I would’ve loved to have said something but I wasted enough time there already. I won’t be coming back here.

Birthday dinner. It was great on a Monday. They are contrite to let you linger. Service was great. Food as well. Nice mid-week Prixe Fix menu that we took advantage of. Very good. Especially the filet mignon and creme brulee dessert!

This is the single best Sunday Brunch Buffet money can buy, short of being in Vegas.
It is worth going out of your way just to enjoy this buffet. It is excellent for special family and friends events.
When we visit the area, this is a must-do if we have the opportunity and if they have the availability (which could be a challenge if you don’t plan ahead).

I’ve been coming to Rothmann’s for years, and it has always been one of my favorite steakhouses on Long Island. I’ve preferred the atmosphere here to Peter Luger and have always considered the bone-in ribeye to be one of the best steaks anywhere.
Unfortunately, something has changed, and not for the better.
We ordered the porterhouse and the bone-in ribeye. The bone-in ribeye was rancid. The moment it was set down, I could tell something was wrong: it was thin, had barely any bone, and didn’t look fresh. One bite confirmed it, the meat was spoiled. It was shocking and honestly concerning.
The service matched the food: the wait staff acted like they were too bothered to approach the table or check in. No warmth, no attentiveness. Even the Coca-Cola tasted off. Overall, the entire experience felt careless and low-quality.
This used to be my go-to restaurant on Long Island, and I would recommend it to anyone. Now, I can’t say that. The food quality has gone way down, the staff is disengaged, and the overall experience is simply not what it once was.
Do not come here right now. Rothmann’s has really gone downhill, and it’s disappointing to see a place I once loved decline like this.

Pretty underwhelming Sunday brunch for $70. Not much variety. They ran out of prime rib as well. Lobster was very fresh and skirt steak was tasty. Sushi options and other breakfast options were laughable.
