This is the most kid friendly place to eat in Chattanooga! We have an unbeliveably beautiful bar you can belly up to or wonderfully comfortable Italian leather couches that you can chill in and watch the game! The food is outstanding and the service is even better! We also have pool tables, shuffleboard, darts, fusbol, and 10 arcade games and pinball! With the option to sit inside or outside on our patio that overlooks the TN River and the Tn Aquarium it is simply the best place to enjoy an ice cold beer and a burger in Chattanooga!

Riverboat burger joint & bar with a patio overlooking the water, plus lounge seating & kids’ games.

This restaurant, set on a permanently anchored boat in the Tennessee river, makes for a memorable dining experience. The menu is simple, mostly burgers and sandwiches, but the food is quite tasty and well-prepared. Options are limited, yet the quality makes up for it, and prices are very reasonable.
Service was attentive and friendly, adding to the relaxed atmosphere on the water. The only drawback is parking: there’s no dedicated lot, so you’ll need to park in a nearby garage or lot. Fortunately, the walk to the boat is easy and not far, making it more of a pleasant stroll than an inconvenience. If you’re looking for a casual meal with a bit of charm and a great view, this spot is well worth a visit.

The service was great, the view is very beautiful, the food was delicious, I ordered a salad and a sirloin with baked potato. I had a Moscato wine, it was delicious. One downside is that you have to pay for parking.

The food was delicious and if you sit outside you will have a great view of the river. Super cool atmosphere. We were a little weary at first because it was completely empty (granted, it is a Monday so probably just a slower day) but we were impressed by the food, service, and atmosphere. Also, there was a buy one get one beer special, not sure how often they do that or when, but pretty sweet to find out.

Overboard Bar and Grille is a fantastic spot! Great food, friendly staff, and a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Everything we ordered was delicious and came out fast. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!

This place is cool you can come and play some pool but the food and drinks weren’t that great. The atmosphere was the best part of this place. It wasn’t bad food or drinks but it just wasn’t the best also the gift shop needs to stay open not just when the boat is coming in. We all can’t wait around 30 min or more when we wanna shop.

Worse restaurant in the city of Chattanooga. I have been going to this place since 2005. Even after the improvements it is just as bad as ever. Poor service (some employees are nice but very overworked since they never know if they will have customers or not the owners only have a few employees working at night), awful food, sticky floors, and horrible uncomfortable furniture. Don’t waste your time. Owners are rude and don’t care if they keep their customers or not. Over priced for what you receive for sure.

My visit to the Overboard Bar and Grille in Chattanooga was an absolute joy, and I owe it all to Faith and Shelly, who made the experience feel like a warm hug! Faith was a ray of sunshine, always there with a kind word or a hilarious joke that had everyone around her laughing—she’s the kind of person who makes you feel instantly at ease. Her attentiveness was unmatched, checking in on me and every guest with such genuine care, ensuring we all had exactly what we needed. Shelly, behind the bar, was a true rockstar, mixing up fantastic drinks with a smile and keeping the energy high with her quick wit and charm. She was so sharp, juggling orders for the whole crowd without missing a beat, and her cocktails from the daily specials were a total steal—delicious and creative! Together, they turned a casual stop at this riverside gem into something truly special. The Overboard Bar and Grille is a hidden treasure in Chattanooga, with its stunning views of the Tennessee River and a laid-back vibe that’s perfect for unwinding. Faith and Shelly’s warmth and hustle make this place a must-visit—don’t skip the specials, and make sure to say hi to them when you go!

Honestly, we almost turned and walked out, but very glad we didn’t.
For starters, they do NOT clean that patio and it is just not inviting. The lights are covered in webs and dead bugs, webs all over the tables and chairs and a PILEof dirt and crap just sitting at the door. I mean…a pile. It was awful, but upon entering it looked like a lot of fun. They obviously just had a lot of people leave (party i suppose) because there were three tables FULL of dirty ware and food with not a server or busserin site. Maybe she was the one smoking outside on the steps (another reason why we almost left…smelled like old cigarette butts down there).

Our bartender was very nice, told us the specials and explained how things worked. Had a couple of beers with some SUPER yummy fries, perfectly breaded and crunchy wings and darn decent fried pickles. Didn’t get the extra sauces we ordered and the condiments were self serve and food thing we noticed because it would have been a damn long walk to get them all.

The leaving of the boat next to us scared the crap out of is with his horn as he was leaving…a little heads up on that would have been nice because DAMN!! LOUD!!!

All in all it was a nice experience with a very bad first impression. We will go back sometime for sure!

I love this bar! The food, atmosphere and drinks are wonderful. Anyone I’ve brought here loves it.

I call it a hole-in-the-wall on the river! A local watering hole, if you will. Come upstairs to the second deck and have a drink and the staff will treat you just fine. I live just down the street, met my *now* husband here, and consider most my family. Highly recommended! Adult and kid friendly! And the views are *chefs kiss*
