Paola was our server, very attentive & friendly. We visited about 11 AM on a Wednesday. Business was still brisk…good sign. The menu is varied with some nice twists on old favorites. The coffee was excellent, by the way. Food came out very quickly, so this maybe be a good lunch stop for the worker types.
I had what may be the best Shrimp & Grits ever…so good with a nice tiny bit of spicy heat. Perfect portion size; almost a little too much. Their Pepper & Peach hot sauce is very good. My wife had an equally delicious Eggs Benedict on Croissant with grilled asparagus, red onion, & tomato slice. Excellent Hollandaise sauce. Very clean restaurant & 4 very clean WCs. Outdoor dining available too. Over all a great spot…it’s in our saved list.

I met my parents for lunch at this location yesterday, and it was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in years. I ordered a French Dip sandwich that was absolutely disgusting and completely inedible. It never should have left the kitchen, and the fact that a manager was expediting food and allowed this to be served is inexcusable.

The bread was clearly stale, old, and extremely tough. The sandwich contained four paper-thin slices of what was supposedly beef—completely flavorless, dried out, overcooked, and with the texture of leather. The au jus was a joke: cold, watered-down liquid with brown coloring and zero flavor. Calling it au jus is generous.

I immediately told my server and asked that the sandwich be hand-delivered back to the manager. Despite this, no manager ever came to the table, acknowledged the issue, or attempted to resolve it. Instead of enjoying lunch with my parents, I didn’t eat at all.

My parents’ turkey Reubens were no better. The sandwiches arrived barely warm, the fries were cold, the bread completely fell apart, and the meat spilled out everywhere. It was obvious there was zero care taken in preparation or presentation.

Food quality, attention to detail, and customer service especially from management were completely nonexistent. This restaurant is failing at even the most basic standards of service. If this is what is being sent out of the kitchen, serious changes are needed immediately. Based on this experience, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this location to anyone.

We have eaten here 5 times in the last 3 months for Breakfast on either Saturday or Sunday. The food is good but depending on what you order, there can be some quality issues, the largest issue is service and is why we will not return. We ordered the biscuits and gravy 3 times and all three times the skillet with the biscuits and gravy was cold/room temperature cool. I am one of those people that can’t eat gravy when it gets cold. The waffles have been great and the Shrimp and Grits are fantastic. . The service has been our largest complaint. You place an order, get your food and never see your server again, they pass by multiple times without looking at or asking about your drinks, or you can’t get your ticket to go. Today we were never offered a refill of our drinks, we asked another server if we could have our waitress come by and get us a refill, it never happened. Finally my wife went to sit at the front door to see if that would be a sign we were ready to go, but it took 15 minutes for the waitress to stop her gossip section back at the To Go area and see if we needed anything else. To make it more memorable she asked if i wanted to hear the joke of the day, I almost replied it was the service. . At this point in time, we have no plans to go back. The food is great but if we can’t ever have a server that checks on drink refills or anything else after we place an order, we may as well spend our money somewhere else.

I ordered the western omelette with “turkey sausage” and “home fries” and I ordered the “kick hash breakfast” which comes with steak, eggs, home fries and a biscuit. everything I ordered was PHENOMENAL. The home fries are so flavorful so I ordered them with both dishes. I also had the champagne with peach and orange juice to make your own mimosas.

Was here for the weekend for a track meet. The staff was super friendly and my food was better than many other breakfast places. Will definitely come back. They were fast and accommodating. Menu had plenty of options for anyone and prices were good for the amount of food. Atmosphere was clean and fun. Upbeat but not too loud. The bar offers great seating as well. High recommended.

We stopped in here for breakfast during our visit to Gainesville while visiting family. They were very busy but we got seated quickly after arriving. We arrived between breakfast and lunch

There were four in our party so we ordered a variety of meals. French Toast, Omelet, Chicken Salad and a Hamburger Sandwich. All of our meals were delicious and full of flavor and cooked to order. The staff was very nice and attentive.

Overall, we had a great dinning experience.

The apple fritters were amazing. Our entrees were okay, just hard to justify the price for what it is. Atmosphere is nice and service was really fast.

I will never be back. I gave them one more shot and I left so frustrated. I even spoke to a manager about our terrible experience this time. Our server was Gwen and she was the worst server I’ve ever had in my life. She slammed down champagne glasses, never said excuses me, huffed when asked for anything, and didn’t smile once. She was rude, unenergetic, and everything a server shouldn’t be. My grandmothers eggs were undercooked, plates had old egg on it, and glasses had orange pulp in the still. The first visit My family and I came here for Mother’s Day and it wasn’t what we were hoping for. My chicken and waffles were pretty disappointing. The waffles were cold and over cooked, and same with my chicken. My parents steaks were both very over cooked. The fritters were amazing as usual. Our server seemed very frustrated when we ordered a bucket of mimosas. When we asked for a third glass she took her time to bring it back to us. Maybe they were overwhelmed with the stress of it being Mother’s Day. I will never come back for mid food and the worst service around.

So having recently moved to the Gainesville area, I decided I’d try a new breakfast joint once a week and Peach Valley Cafe ended up being my pick to start this tour if you will. First the good. My waitress, Sam, short for Samantha, was incredible. She greeted me soon after I sat down, brought coffee out promptly with plenty of refills and even brought out a to-go cup for the road. Always looked me the eyes when interacting which I think just goes to her professionalism, probably in all walks of life.

Now the bad. I ordered a Western Omelet, my go-to whenever trying a new restaurant which came out with an English Muffin and a side of home fries. The Omelet, although full of all the main ingredients of a Western Omelet, just had no flavor to it. Very bland. The home fries amount were minimal, see photo, were lukewarm, and consisted of several burnt pieces and what seemed to be left over remnants of whatever was left over back in the kitchen. The English Muffin looked like it had been toasted, but was basically raw, if you will. Sam promptly replaced that item and I’m sure would have replaced the home fries if I’d asked, but I figured I was pretty much done with my meal by then so why bother.

Can’t recommend Peach Valley Cafe for the food based on what I ordered, maybe they get some dishes right, but would definitely check out anywhere my waitress was working as long as it’s not this restaurant.
