Fred’s Italian Pizzeria is absolutely worth the drive. From the moment the lasagna, calamari, garlic bread, portobello mushrooms, and hamburger hit the table, you could tell everything was fresh and had homemade toppings. They are definitely not shy with the cheese (which I loved) – every bite was loaded and melty in the best way. I envisioned a little Italian, grandma and grandpa in the kitchen with every bite.
Personally, I do wish the sauce was just a little bit sweeter for my taste, but that’s purely preference. The overall flavor was still really good, and the quality of ingredients truly stands out. On top of that, the service was great friendly, attentive, and made the visit feel welcoming.
Overall: a cheesy, satisfying spot that’s worth the trip, especially if you appreciate fresh, homemade pizza, lasagna, calamari, and a juicy burger and great service. I’d gladly drive out again.

I consider this establishment my second mom kitchen- although they don’t know it. Every time I have great service. I see all the same friendly servers each time, which means they are great behind the scenes too. The owners are the sweetest most adorable couple and I genuinely appreciate all they do for each customer. I can sit and watch and they take pride in each guest they seat and serve. The food is amazing! The Italian food top notch! The American options, amazing. Full bar and drink specials available… 16 TVs around the bar and 14 on the outside. Lotto on site. Modern industrial restaurant setting with an outside patio option in season. If I lived closer I would visit weekly!

Fred’s Pizza serves very delicious food. Even though it was carry out, their restaurant was a nice size to sit down and have a drink while watching a game at the bar. My wife and I had ordered the Hawaiian and the Margarita pizza along with the deep fried portabella mushroom as an appetizer. We will be coming back again. Thanks Fred’s Pizza!

UPDATE: my wife and I came back to try Fred’s again. This time we stuck to what they are known for – pizza. And this time they delivered in spades. We had a deluxe pizza and my wife added green olives to half. The ingredients were fresh and nothing looked like it came out of a can. Very tasty, one of the best pizzas we’ ve had in GR. If you stick to pizza we can highly recommend this place!

It was my first visit to this place. My wife had chicken tenders that were thin, dry and hard as rock. Soft drink tasted off and replacements tasted the same. My sub was ok, but the bread did not taste fresh. Overall a underwhelming experience. Bright spot was the server. She was wonderful. Sorry I can’t recommend this place.

First time going there. Was in the area for an appointment and wanted to try a different restaurant then a major chain. Saw the good reviews and talking to a person at the appointment this place was recommended. Ordered a sub and showed up with a good amount of meat and not thin cut. Also ordered a meat lovers pizza. Very good taste. If back in the area would love to stop in again. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very good atmosphere

Great food 🙂 I got an Italian sub, and it was packed with toppings. I had to pretty much eat it with a fork and knife it was so thick! Good stuff. We also had appetizers, deep fried mushrooms and deep fried cheese ravioli, both good stuff. Came out super fresh and hot, The waitress was very attentive. We decided on dessert and they were amazing. I had the turtle cheesecake, my spouse the chocolate mousse pie. Wowsers! Even if you just want dessert, this is the place to hit!
