I’ve been here so many times and also to other McMenamins, but I had to write a review today! Enjoyed a lovely lunch with my Son out on the patio on a fantastic November day. I love that they have a mailbox for Santa letters and paper for the kids to write letters to Santa. Kept my little one completely happy! I love the pub greens at McMenamins, but this salad today was the freaking best!

Literally everything we ordered was amazingggg. Our server was very sweet and the views of the river were pretty. Definitely check this place out if you’re in the area.

We love to go here for “second dinner” after my musician husband’s late night gigs. It’s comfy, quiet and has some nice vegan choices. Our go to is the Gaucho Steak Tacos which we substitute tofu for the steak. SO delicious! Even better with corn tortillas too.
That late at night we split an order and maybe get some tots with mystic sauce (it’s vegan!) with them. They are so accommodating and we appreciate them and are grateful! The servers and chefs are awesome!

We had a great experience. Got to get a basket of tots/ fries from our passport stamps and also ordered a mystic burger with salad to share plus root beers for post triathlon training (means we were hungry), and on a very hot day. We ended up eating only half our fries and tots—the serving is big enough to share. We ordered our favorite sauces and dips—step aside Mystic, Ranch and Terminator Mustard… my new fav dip is garlic and truffle aioli. Server was amazing—anticipated our needs and kept clear expectations about food time line—it was busy but we got a table outdoors under the umbrellas and food came out in perfect timing and we’ll-presented. A perfect post workout meal!!

We visit here at least once a month for a date lunch or dinner. Love the service, and food.
My only kick back on our last visit was the cream of mushroom soup. We got some to go for a light dinner later that evening…I wish we would have asked for a lil sample taste. It was entirely way too sweet for our taste buds.
It should be served with fresh loaves of sourdough or French bread with an option of real butter. Not just simple saltines. My opinion.
Otherwise, we will always return here. Thanks for the great work peeps ..

This rating is specifically and wholly for the most delicious drink I’ve ever tasted. The “Some More of What?”. This drink consists of toasted marshmallow syrup, graham cracker washed Hogshead Whiskey and chocolate bitters. Mixed and all topped with a flamed kissed marshmallow skewer garnish. Seasonal & Amazing!! Go try it before it’s gone. Your welcome.

We came here day after Thanksgiving and got their specials which was grilled salmon and the stew pot with sausage over polenta. The portions were huge and we do believe it was tasty, however that day everything was heavily salted. We started with the very excellent truffle fries which were very salty but that’s what we loved about it but we’re surprised that heavy-handed salt was in our main dishes as well. The view is great and the service was exceptional and yes I would give it another chance as the saltiness could have been just a one-off that day.

Want to start out by saying the gauge on how busy it is says “busier than usual” and it’s 100% NOT BUSY right now. It is nice and quiet in here. With that said it took a few to be sat, like 8 minutes to even get someone to speak to us about drinks, and longer to finally get just some water and said drinks. Server is friendly at least. I’ve been here before when it was busy and the service was that of a normal busy joint.
I’m assuming it’s a one off thing but regardless it’s still frustrating because the customer is the one who pays in more ways than one for a “one off bad night”…
I’m literally watching the bartender and two servers just stand around as I write this. Lmao. Hire better people! People who maybe want to serve? Make good drinks,

Three of us went for lunch on a Saturday at about 1 pm. We had an appetizer of Cajun Tots which were a lot of tots! They could have been seasoned a bit more but they were good. Mains were the JR Deluxe burger approx. $20, Blue Cheese Burger approx. $20 (not sure if that’s what it’s called) & Lunchbox special: Toasted Albacore Tuna 1/2 sandwich w/ clam chowder & salad $12.
The food was good and the service was outstanding! There was a bit of a wait for the food but not bad for a busy Saturday Lunch.
I really can’t wait till it gets warmer and sit outside overlooking the Columbia River!
Nice atmosphere although I really felt like the tables & booths were really crammed together. Made it hard for people to walk around including servers.
With the addition of 2 beers & 1 coffee total bill was approx. $93.

Update: last visit 2/22/26: Service again inattentive. They put your bare silverware on the table. Cheeseburger had a horrible “special sauce” with horseradish in it making it very sharp – tartar sauce was the same, also extremely sharp and nasty. I never got this horseradish stuff when ordering at the McMenamins on Broadway.
——————-Cheeseburger was just ok. I dislike the shoe string fries. I used to love the fries a McMenamin’s in Portland had. Tartar sauce tastes only of mustard. Service inattentive and not even rising to the level of robotic as I think a robot would’ve asked if I wanted my water refilled; to be fair, it seemed to be 1 waitress for inside and outside. Hire some help! For the price, I think I can get better food for a lesser price elsewhere.
