Everyone we’ve encountered in Flagstaff has told us how great the Thai food is here, so we decided to give it a try.

We ordered the pad thai, panang curry, and tom yum soup. Having been to Thailand many times, I can confidently say these dishes tasted quite Americanized rather than authentic.

The pad thai was overly peanut-buttery, and the shrimp lacked flavor. The tom yum soup was especially disappointing—missing the freshness and depth you’d expect. It tasted more like diluted tomato water with extra vinegar and spice, and seemed to be missing several key aromatics and herbs.

The panang curry was actually decent flavor-wise, but the presentation could use improvement. Serving it in a plain bowl made it look more like microwaved food at home rather than a dish from a restaurant at this price point.

Service was great and the environment was pleasant. That said, the flavors didn’t quite justify the price, and overall it didn’t meet our expectations. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend it. 3.5 is where it lands.

The owners of our Airbnb highly recommend this restaurant and I’m happy we had a meal here before leaving Flagstaff. This Thai restaurant offers a large variety of dishes including some Chinese and Vietnamese food. Everything we ordered was tasty and copious. I especially enjoyed the spicy glass noodle salad with shrimp. The waitress asked me how spicy I wanted my salad on a scale of 5. I asked for a 3 and it was perfect. As many other Thai restaurants, this place is very reasonably priced.

Very quaint home cooked Authentic Thai food in Flagstaff! Perfect location down town, family owned and ran business that everyone should visit

Panang Curry was some of the best I’ve ever had! Larb was great. The Cheese Puff is a great appetizer. Basil Fish was great, and so was the Crab Fried Rice.

Service was impeccable. A separate server overheard us mentioning asking our original server for something and she just grabbed it for us without asking!

10/10. Oh and the spicy level 1-5 is not Thai hot, more Americanized. BUT, you can ask for Thai hot if you are capable

My words cannot describe how exceptionally delicious Pato is. We were only in Flagstaff for a few nights, and we spent 2 consecutive nights dining at Pato. The flavors were so authentically robust. The Spicy noodle was so aromatic and packed with the basil flavors. The soup was very comforting and cozily hit the spot. But the Chef Special BBQ Chicken was so masterfully done that I felt like I was in one of those master chef episodes. The herbal savory taste of the chicken unexpectedly goes so well with the sweet and sour sauce. This combination is unprecedented and I am so glad that I opted for it. Truly, Pato reputations certainly precedes it, and I am here to confirm the magic is real!

The food was okay overall, but the experience was a bit let down by long wait times. While the fried rice was decent, the Thai Curry Dumplings were a disappointment, especially considering they are listed as a chef’s special.

The attention to detail this restaurant offers is outstanding. Our soup (Tom Kha) was put in a container that kept it warm, the ginger tea put in a kettle so that it stayed warm as well. The taste of all the items we got was phenomenal and very accurate to what we asked for spice level. Absolutely no complaints. 10/10 recommend.

On Route 66, Great selection of dishes.
Fast Service, bright open and clean dining room.
Several size tables and even a large table for groups.

I ordered the Special Pineapple Fried rice at a 3 heat Level of 5, and it was just north of medium in my opinion and it was Great!!
Large Portion size also!!

My wife did the Combination soup and it lived up to its name and was perfect for her, tasty but not spicy, as she does hot food.

Very Reasonable prices also!

We must not have luck with the only two Thai’s restaurants in Flagstaff.
After wait for 30 minutes at the other Thai restaurant, we sit, wait, wait for a good 20 minutes and saw other table have their orders after us had their foods served, I asked the waiter what happened to our order, he ran to the kitchen and come back apologize us that he forgot to give the cook.
Apologies accepted and we walk out.
At this Pato restaurant, we ordered the Tom Yum hotpot. Look very appetizing on the menu but when our hotpot came, what a disappointment: not anywhere near the picture on the menu: I let’s you be the judge.
What about the taste you asked? After long day hiking the Devil Bridge, and a long wait at the other Thai restaurant, we hungry and just glad that we have something hot to eat.
