Was in town to visit Eisenhower Presidential Library and Seelye Mansion and stopped by here for lunch. It’s a casual family-owned one room restaurant whose patrons seem to be mostly locals. This is always a good thing. They serve breakfast all day, numerous burgers, sandwiches, and various plates.

We ordered the reuben and BLT sandwiches and the catfish plate with mac n cheese. The veggie of the day was green beans.

Everything was good except for the mac n cheese, which didn’t taste very fresh — you can tell the pasta and cheese had become coagulated. It wasn’t creamy cheesy as good quality mac n cheese should be. Wasn’t even homemade.

And the green beans? Straight from the can! It was mushy and bland. Who wants to eat soggy green beans?! This was rather disappointing.

Service was straightforward. Free parking in their small lot but also ample street parking.

I come here as much for the people as I do the food. The breakfast is delicious, simple, and affordable, exactly the kind of homestyle meal you crave. The staff work their tails off to keep everything running smoothly. The team has been the same for years, and that kind of loyalty doesn’t happen by accident, it reflects strong leadership from Marty and Anja, a place where people are truly valued.

I especially enjoy grabbing a seat at the bar when Angie’s working. I look forward to our conversations, and she knows my order down to every little detail. She has a way of starting my morning off right, always positive, always uplifting. She’s a true day maker.

Happy to see the business is here to stay with the new owners and look forward to trying some new menu items.

Small town, family owned, local diner that serves a great breakfast! My family and I ate here for the first time this past weekend and Moriah did a great job of keeping our drinks full, got our food out quickly and accurately, even though it was a busy Saturday morning. Crystal from the Saddle and Spurs restaurant that we ate at the night before told us that it was the best breakfast in town and she was right.

This morning was a rough morning for Joe Snuffys. We usually love eating here. Food and service are great.
However, so many things were wrong this morning. They were not crazy busy, but we had to wait about 45 minutes for our food. My husband’s omelette came with hashbrowns, the added onions which were not asked for. My young daughter’s egg was a sunny side up egg inside of scrambled eggs. My skillet had cheese all over it. Our waitress ticket showed she wrote all this down as instructions for the cook but it’s not what we ordered. She did fix my daughter’s eggs, we didn’t ask for the other issues to be fixed because we had already waited so long. Food dint taste like it usually does either so maybe there’s a new cook too.
Waitress service was not great either she was just standing on the kitchen with several other servers crying because she was “so stressed out”. You could hear the servers in the kitchen complaining about so many things from customers orders to dirty dishes. We also had to ask multiple times for things, like to go boxes and utensils for my kiddo.
I’m not sure why today was a had morning for them but hope they turn it around soon

Great find for our short visit to Abilene. Looking at the outside I was questioning our choice, but great interior, friendly & helpful service, & delicious food. We’re hoping it’s mealtime when we next pass near Abilene.

My wife and I went for the first time recently, despite living in the area for a while. Overall a good experience – Service was great and except for my hashbrowns (kinda cold and chewy) the food was also good. My wife really enjoyed the pork tenderloin sandwich and my western omelette was fresh and tasty. They were quite busy when we were there but our server was on top of it and very attentive.
UPDATE 5/2023 – Still solid service and food was great. My pancakes were huge and really tasty.

Very friendly staff, got us seated pretty quickly as it was quite busy. Nice small-town place to eat. We had the brisket sandwich, very good and a slice of Dutch apple pie with ice cream, yummy!

I am traveling and was wanting a home cooked country breakfast. I found it at Snuffy’s! Great home town people and a yummy breakfast! Thank you Snuffy’s. And to my waitress, shoulder length flipped dark brown hair, who I failed to get her name, you will never need to re-negotiate bites with me. She will know what I mean. Haha! Blessings to you all!
