We ordered yesterday on 13 feb on uber eats. In a second, i mistakenly canceled while adding item. I was charged almost fully for cancellation in a second. Requested Uber for refund they said already paid to Merchant. It is now upto them if they could give you food. We called the staff and asked them was mistakenly canceled from app so please if you already started preparing and get paid, we will pickup the food. But very smartly a man said we cant help now.

Went for Valentine’s Day with my wife and 10 year old daughter. Service was great, food was awesome but a bit spicy however my 10 year old could handle it. Great service decor. Only negative was the tables are a bit wobbly. Overall great experience. It was our second time there and 1st experience was equally great

We had such a wonderful dining experience at punjab canteen Montreal. This restaurant perfectly combines authentic Indian flavors with a modern, stylish atmosphere, making it one of the best places for Indian vegetarian food in Montreal.

The ambiance was warm, trendy, and inviting – great for a date night, family dinner, or group outing. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, helping us choose the best vegetarian options from the menu.

We tried a selection of vegetarian appetizers, main dishes, refreshing drinks, and desserts. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and well-balanced in spices. The curries were rich and aromatic, the naan was fresh and soft, and the drinks complemented the meal perfectly. The desserts were an excellent way to end the evening, with authentic Indian flavors presented in a modern style.

Food was amazing. The lamb was juicy. The chicken was tender. Neither were dry. The sauces were not too spicy for the average person ( I love spicy ). The service was decent considering it was Valentine’s evening dinner & they had a big group to handle. Probably could have used more help in the kitchen. Will definitely go back.

Had a disappointing experience during my recent visit. The noodles were extremely salty at first, and when we mentioned it, the staff said the chef thought it was fine but offered to remake it without salt. We asked for a regular balanced flavor, but the replacement came completely bland with no spice at all.

We also ordered Paneer Tikka Masala and Kadhai Paneer — both tasted almost identical and seemed to have the same gravy, which was underwhelming.

Overall, not a great experience. The Le Parc, Beaubien location is much better in both flavor and consistency.

Terrible food quality. Everything was overloaded with salt, and when I mentioned it, they tried to blame it on the achar instead of admitting the mistake. That’s just ridiculous. Totally disappointed — waste of money and appetite.over priced I order panner chowmein the panner was not good not able to eat that visit first time never enter this restaurant again…. I will not recommend anyone to visit this restaurant….

Punjab Canteen truly stands out as one of the best Indian dining experiences I’ve had so far, especially for their Butter Chicken, which any Indian food lover would appreciate. The dish was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced in spices. The restaurant delivers an authentic Indian taste with genuine flavors that capture the essence of traditional cuisine. Additionally, their pricing is fair and well justified by both the quality and generous portion sizes.

While I haven’t visited their other locations, this particular Montreal branch offers a warm, inviting atmosphere that complements the dining experience. The customer service was commendable — the staff were courteous, attentive, and ensured a pleasant visit.

The only dish that didn’t quite align with my personal preference was the Chole served with Chole Bhature. I found it to have a bit too much masala for my liking, as I generally prefer milder spice blends. However, my family thoroughly enjoyed it, which shows that it really depends on one’s individual taste.

Overall, Punjab Canteen has earned its place as my go-to destination for authentic Indian cuisine in Montreal. I look forward to exploring more of their menu on my next visit.

Please note, this review reflects my personal experience, and others may have different opinions based on their individual taste and preferences.

This was one of the worst Uber Eats orders I’ve had. $13.99 for a tiny spring roll that was stale, hard and chewy and $13.99 honey chilli potatoes that tasted terrible, I felt like throwing up after eating it. For that price I expected food, not a sadness with sauce on it.

And seriously… why is it always Desi restaurants that mess up the basics? My people spend money on giant dine-ins, fancy decor and drama but not in the only thing customers actually pay for : GOOD FOOD.

P.S. Owner : If you would have invested in one SOLID CHEF that can keep taste and quality consistent instead of those fancy chandeliers – you’d actually have returning customers not returning refunds.
