I’ve been to this Applebee’s with friends a few times and although I’m not a big fan of the kind of food they serve I’m happy to say that everything I’ve tried, so far, has been well cooked and served. Their salmon is always good and my friend’s hamburger in photo I’m posting was tops.! So it’s been a while since we last went to Applebee’s. We went so many times after my heart transplant because it was next to our hotel. Kinda got tired of Applebee’s because we ate there so so much. So tonight we went for the 2 for $25 Chicken Parmigiana Alfredo. We both had the huge side salad that was included. I must say that the meal was excellent and service from our server Amanda C. was just wonderful. Happy hour drinks were great and we will definitely be back again but this time sooner. ❤️

My food and waitress (Madelyn) was great but the rest of the staff need to keep their personal life and gripes with each other private. They stand around the little counter in the back near the kitchen and yell at each other and make weird comments. The one dude kept touching the other girl but made a scene but deep down inside you know she enjoys the attention. The older guy who must have been the manager was clearly frustrated with some of the staff.

Had a great curbside pickup experience at the Riverhead Applebee’s. My order was ready exactly when promised, the burger was cooked fully as requested, and everything tasted fresh. Staff made pickup quick and easy. Solid service all around.

Ashley was our waitress and she was very sweet! We got a big platter Of appetizers mix Including Mozzarella sticks, Boneless chicken wings, chicken tacos, chicken quesadillas, also soup and a burger. Food was good but the waitstaff was lacking. Waitress never came back to check on us after our food came. I went to the kid working the front desk, since he was there playing games on his phone. I asked him if he could go get us some condiments since our waitress disappeared. He looked at me like a deer in the headlights. I finally had to go behind the bar to find our waitress. Not a pleasant dining experience.

This location must be under new management because it was always above par as far as chain restaurants go but not so much anymore. This is our second bad experience at this location. Waited 15 minutes for our drinks while the bartender was right there cleaning the bar not making them. Got our drinks after our meal was finished. Food was sub par- steaks were grizzly and garbage cuts. The whole restaurant was a mess. Came here a lot growing up, probably won’t be coming back going forward.

I dined at Applebee’s with my family tonight and was very disappointed with the experience. My wife ordered a chicken breast meal for $16.49, which comes with two sides. They were out of broccoli, so she asked for double mashed potatoes loaded. Instead of simply substituting, we were charged $3.99 twice!! for the loaded mash—bringing her plate to nearly $25 for one small piece of chicken breast and a modest portion of potatoes.
When I politely brought this up to the waitress Christy, she became defensive and immediately asked if I wanted to see a manager rather than just addressing the concern. She exclaimed that she saw it come out the kitchen and was in fact a double portion. It felt like we were being nickel-and-dimed and brushed off instead of being treated like valued guests.
I understand mistakes can happen, but the way it was handled left a bad impression. A simple explanation or correction would have gone a long way. I wished I took a picture had I known what the bill was gonna be 8$ for double loaded mashed that seemed like single serving.
