It was only one open, on a cold night. The food was good, but the sides I did not care for, no seasoning,no butter,& our plates had #7 oysters, rice,Cole slaw.A tiny amt.of food for price,but we had a lovely waiter/+atmosphere made up difference!! It was beautiful inside & outside, old small town charm, with the locals,very polite! We had a wonderful time, great place, small menu, but very nice!Cold ngt.,they adjusted heat:keep us warm,a pleasant experience, %!!!

Great view of the river, excellent service, delicious food. Came here for lunch and truly enjoyed our whole experience. Nancy, our server, was fast and friendly. Place was not too noisy. Clean bathrooms. Ample parking on the street. I loved my cheeseburger (cooked to order!) and my mom enjoyed her chicken salad sandwich. Home fries and sweet potato fries were great, but onion rings the best!

We tried a little bit of everything at River Room: the Upscale Blue Plate, the Pecan Chicken, two Kids’ Fish meals, and the Chicken Alfredo with meat. Overall, a solid spread. The flounder special definitely stole the spotlight — tender, flavorful, and gone way too fast. The Chicken Alfredo also got a big thumbs‑up at the table. A nice meal with a few standout bites that made it worth the stop.

We finally made it to Georgetown to explore a little bit! The smells drew us into the River Room, they were delicious! The view while you eat is beautiful of the water and boats. I had shrimp and scallop gumbo and hubby had a poor boy. Both were delicious!!! The sevice and atmosphere were perfect. It’s sure to be a favorite on future trips!

Comfortably sat by a window with water view. Very clean, fresh smelling. Prompt , friendly, helpful service. Delicious Gumbo, Goat cheese spinach salad, but CREAMY balsamic vinegarette, made the salad. My friend had grouper.. Dont miss their Sautéed Pound cake with berries, ice cream ,portion so large .. very shareable… plus they were open on a Monday!! I’ll be back.. make this interesting place with historic photos, your go to place …

Wanted to be served outside on such a beautiful day. Couple in front of me at the hostess stand wanted to do the same. The hostess said that it was not available. They decided to leave. I was about to do the same. They would have lost 3 customers. The hostess then said that she could get me a table with a river view inside and it would just take 5 minutes. I sat in the lobby and waited. After 15 minutes I asked what the delay was. She apologized saying she forgot about me. The river view was nice. The food was good or I would have given a bad review. Local shrimp, flounder. Hush puppies and fries were good. Large side salad. All of the portions were very generous.

The River Room has recently been purchased by the same family that owns Rolling Local on Front Street. My Granny passed away in 2008 and every year we go on Front Street to eat for her birthday. We went today and had a great time. The food and atmosphere was perfect. I had the fried shrimp platter. My family had everything from Shrimp and Grits to Trigger Fish to Chicken Salad Sandwiches to Beef Stew.
