A wonderful seafood restaurant with impeccable French service and really friendly waitress who gave me a caviar bump to try! The food was phenomenal, the freshest scallops I’ve ever tasted, seafood platter was a delight and the fish dumpling and crab ravioli was out of this world. Would recommend if you’re in the area.

Super fresh seafood. Welcoming & friendly service.
Arrived via a cruise at around 3pm, when most other restaurants closed. Lucky they still open.

We first ordered the seafood platter & two desserts. But when the mussels landed on next table, it smell sooooooooooo good that we decided should also order one. The mussels are so smooth, soft & taste, a must have item.

Both desserts are well balance that perfectly closing the meal.

Will definitely come again.

A regular stop off on my not so regular visits to Cherbourg.
Excellent food served by Excellent staff, who all speak English, which means I do not have to stumble through my schoolboy French!
The fruits de mer was Excellent value at €69 and contained 6 oysters, 6 prawns, half a crab and half a lobster, with all the prerequisite accomplments.
Grab a table outside overlooking the harbour, treat yourself to a nice wine and life can feel oh so good….

After placing the order, we waited for nearly an hour, but nothing came. No dessert or oysters. even a plate.
The scenery is beautiful, and the menu looks good. However, it’s a pity that the serving time is extremely bad.

The staff there are very friendly and the food there is amazingly presented and tasty. My son and I enjoyed it so much, so we went back again before we leave the city. The inside looks much better than the picture you see here.

A friend living in Cherbourg took us here on Sunday. We chose the 29euro 3 course menu. The food was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. The dessert was the best I have tasted in many years. We will definitely come again next time we are in Cherbourg.

The Camembert and egg soup was good, but only lukewarm. I ordered a beef tartare — horrible, terrifying, inedible. It smelled bad, and you couldn’t even taste the meat. I hadn’t noticed on the menu that there was supposed to be a touch of oyster sauce, BUT the chef went overboard and poured in so much that it became completely inedible. An hour later, I could still taste that disgusting flavor in my mouth — and I had only taken one bite.
It’s useless and counterproductive, for a modern chef, to mix flavors that don’t go together and that, rather than complementing, completely erase what was supposed to be a quality cut of meat. The waiters, utterly embarrassed, disappeared behind the scenes to avoid saying goodbye after the payment!
This is a reply to your answer: you can not tell that I don’t know what I ate and I never, I’m telling you never, eat junk food. I came in to your restaurant because I had a good expectations and I choosed your place after checked your near competitors. Hope it was for you only a bad day at work or you were tired, everyone make wrong sometimes. The egg in the soup was cooked with technic and from whom know what is doing . . .

A party of eight of us ate here on Sunday evening. I can only think that they gave all of their experienced staff the night off.
They showed us to a table upstairs despite there being room downstairs. There was only one other table in use and absolutely no atmosphere.
The service was dreadful. Of the two people who attended us, one went home half way through the meal, the chap left was hapless.
The food was ok, no better.
The wine was similarly ok but ridiculously overpriced. Cheapest bottle of wine €66, we chose a Chablis which was over €70 served warm.
A somewhat pretentious restaurant which we will give a wide berth in future.

Classical French cuisine served with panache.
We had the two course lunch, fish soup with rouille and gruyère croutons, fantastic, something that you won’t make at home, absolutely delicious. The other starter was a prawn and salmon salad. For mains a sirloin steak, and a trio of fish with vegetables and a superb sauce. Excellent coffee to finish. Worth a detour. Lunch finished at 2pm,no exception.
