Craving prime rib and didn’t want to pay a ton of money on the strip while visiting Vegas. Front desk recommendation from another location along with the shuttle driver. Could use more seasoning and flavor.

If I ever return to Las Vegas, this will be one of the first restaurants I go back to. It’s a hidden gem just a block away from the Strip — a true local spot that still carries the classic spirit of old-school casino dining.

The King Cut Prime Rib was far beyond what I expected for the price. It’s not just a “good deal” — it’s an excellent dish, perfectly cooked, juicy, and incredibly generous in portion.

The Fish & Chips was also flawless — crispy on the outside, tender and moist on the inside. It felt like the real, authentic version of this comfort food done right.

If you’re looking for a place in Vegas that serves real food with heart and flavor, this is it.

Surprisingly good and affordable food. I had their King Cut Prime Rib and it wasn’t disappointing. It was fairly good for the $35. I have to admit the wait time was ok, 15 minutes. The hilarious observation I have is with the guy that delivers your food to the table. Please note that he is not mean or rude, but man does he not care or give a crap. Maybe it’s the volume of work and having to serve too many people. The man literally placed my plate on top of my knife, plate lop sided and all (lol), then he left. I saw similar type of behavior with other tables around my area. So, I don’t blame the guy nor do I think he is mean or rude, I just think he is focused 100% on his job of delivering food to tables. I would definitely come back though. The food prices and the quality of the food are worth the drive to this spot. Please note the parking structure is funky and cramped. Drive slowly in and out, full frontal car crashes may happen if you drive fast either way.

Great atmosphere is you enjoy sports

The service was great! Everyone was super friendly and prompt

Unfortunately, the bbq Meats were not cooked well. Very dry brisket; and the sausages were cut prior to being put on the grill, so they too lost all their moisture. Oddly, the opposite was true about the brussel sprouts, they were under cooked. Go figure…

We did ask our server about it, who admitted some of their chefs are better than others. So I guess it’s hit or miss at this place

I need to ” *” this with. The facility is getting an upgrade, but I do not think it’s going to affect the restaurant area. So be prepared, it it very run down. Looks to be straight out of a ’70 steak hoint movie seen. Let’s start with the Caesar salad, it was great, perfect amount of flavor! I ordered a “1962” cocktail, which is just a very watered down Old fashioned. And I mean VERY watered down! And I had the ribs, they tasted great but then I started pulling out hairs… 3 in total, to be exact. My wife tried to convince me that they were animal hairs, and when I pointed it out to the waitress, her stance is that they were from the sauce brush. Regardless, my meal was ruined. I don’t care where they actually came from, NO MEAL SHOULD EVER HAVE HAIR IN IT!!!!!

It pains me to write this, but if it helps one person it’ll be worth it. We have been going to the Ellis Island BBQ since it was 6-8 tables next to the stainless steel beer vats and Metro Pizza. It’s always been a 10 of 10. Haven’t been back since covid and the new remodel. I played some slots, then went looking for the BBQ place, ( that’s always been a separate dining area), I asked the hostess at the restaurant where the BBQ pit was and learned it’s now inside the 24 hour room. First hint.. No wait for a table at 4:30 pm on a NFL Sunday. Always had to take a # to get a table in the past. 2nd hint. Was seated at the very back of the restaurant. I normally recognize many of the staff that work at the BBQ pit , but saw no familiar faces that day. Ordered the half rack and half chicken combo, my usual go to. Also got a large root beer. When the meal came I tried the coleslaw. Unlike in the past, this time it was at best room temperature. One bite and done. Next the beans. Also mid. Asked for and was brought BBQ sauce for the meats. The ribs had zero flavor; as if they had been boiled and never put on a grill. I tried a bit of the chicken. Flavorless again. I always took the chicken to my hotel room to eat during the Sunday night game, but I wouldn’t waste styrofoam on it.So depressing. It’s really sad when the best part of a BBQ platter is 2 pieces of corn on the cob. I truly don’t know what happened to this great place; new management, cutting corners, reducing the quality of meats??? In the past I always recommended Ellis Island BBQ. Won’t be doing that any longer.

I only hope this helps someone else.

One of my favorite BBQ places. The food comes out quickly after order (from the BBQ menu at least).
It’s lively atmosphere since the restaurant is in the middle of the casino and nearby other restaurants (where they do karaoke and contests). The energy is casual and can get loud at times.
The BBQ sauce is tasty. You can get it on the side. The garlic bread is toasted but not hard.
Our server was sweet and attentive. Always topped off our sodas. Keep in mind that you can’t split checks. One check per table. The BBQ menu is pretty affordable for the portion sizes. Def recommend.

This place was a little confusing to get to, they had construction so understandable..
The atmosphere wasn’t bad, the waitress was very kind and once we ordered our food it was out in 5 min.
The food was OK, it was decent for the price and a lot to eat, it was like a Luby’s quality. The ribs were definitely cheap, but coming from TX no BBQ could ever compare.

Very good!
We had a 25 minute wait at 7 PM on a Tuesday night. They DO take reservations and would encourage that. They will tell you how long you have to wait and then you can go to the casino and they’ll text you when your table is ready. The food was good, reasonably priced andthe service was quick. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Five stars.

They serve a very generous portion (actually huge portion) of very yummy BBQ. I don’t think it’s meant for 1 person only. But if you share it with someone else, they do charge you an extra $5. So go there with an empty stomach or when you are really hungry that you can eat a horse. The BBQ chicken was only OK, so I recommend only get the baby back rib.
