I usually don’t write online reviews, but I felt compelled to share my recent experience at Swagath Foods Restaurant Buffet in East Lansing. The service was very slow, and most food trays were nearly empty with no timely refills. The dishes served were cold, oily, and lacked freshness. I even noticed flies in the raita, which was very disappointing. Despite visiting several times before, there seems to be no improvement — today’s visit was the worst so far. I would not recommend this buffet, especially given the missing tandoor items that were advertised. There are better Indian buffet options nearby.

I ordered food from here for the first time eating Indian food ever, and LOVED IT! I ordered all the types of naan and tikka masala, butter paneer and chicken something (I forget). Where has Indian food been all my life?!?!?!?!?!?! Will be returning.

This place is by far the best Indian food in Lansing! They have all of the usual items like vindaloo, biryani, and tikka masala. But they have a very impressive array of more traditional Indian food. Great service, nice place and affordable prices.

Went to Lansing because I was missing proper home food and it did not disappoint! Amazing food and service! We ordered chicken boneless biryani, spicy version and it was so delicious! We are Pakistani so we can handle our spice and it was actually a good amount of spice and also tasty! Ordered chicken Bhunaista, so flavorful and tangy not sweet at all. Ordered chicken 65 it was so crispy and tasty! Ordered veg thali that had alot of curry option and all of them were so good also came with gulab jamun! None of the dishes we ordered disappointed. I definitely recommend this to any one travelling by or wanting to have good desi food. Server was also very sweet!

Usually I order off DoorDash but I decided to go in today. Me and my sister were the only ones there and the food was amazing! We didn’t know how to eat Indian food correctly and one of the people that worked there kindly showed us how. Felt very welcomed.

Swagath Indian Cuisine in Lansing is hands down one of the best spots for authentic Indian food! Every dish is packed with flavor and made fresh — you can really taste the quality. The butter chicken and biryani are personal favorites, but honestly, everything on the menu is amazing. On top of that, the manager is super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving delicious Indian food and great service!

The food tastes pretty good, but the other day we ordered to go and there was tinfoil fully in my food. We tried to call them back to either get a refund for that item or for them to make us a new one but they wouldn’t.

It was Open on Christmas and New Year’s eve.
Fantastic food and a large selection was available.
The staff was super welcoming and sweet. They will provide you the seat as per the capacity.
Super spacious and clean place for dining in. And taste wise it was perfect.
The washrooms were clean as well.
The only issue was it was a bit occupied and hence dishes were served with a bit delay but after tasting it, the wait time was worth.

Second time to order from Swagath Indian Cuisine and the food was tasty. It takes them around an hour to prepare the food but it is worth the waiting time. I tried their chicken and lamb biryani and chicken tikka masala ones and they were all tasty. I also always order mild spices and it is hot for me. So I consider mild to be over spiced for me. Recommended place to visit.

The food didn’t meet my expectations. It seems like seasoning was missing in the tikka mesala. Also the garlic nuun didn’t really have a bold flavor, it was more so bland. If I go back I’d try the buttered chicken but I can’t say I’d recommend this place. On the bright side the mango Lassi was good.
