Food: plentiful vegan options – my favourites in order were: Eggplant Bhartha, Vegetable Korma, and then Vegetable Biryani (least flavourful). Though I will add that the portions were WAY smaller than I expected – we each ordered a main dish plus additional roti and were still hungry after finishing it all; you can see relative sizes in the photos.
Atmosphere: The staff very clearly didn’t want to be there and just wanted to close and leave – upon nearing finishing our meals they began passive aggressively rushing us to leave multiple times even though the restaurant was still open for half an hour. We were finishing eating our orders when they told us last call for kitchen, and it felt like because we didn’t order more they wanted us to just hurry up and leave. The staff kept interrupting our gathering or staring at us making us uncomfortable, even asking how we want to split the bill even though we were not complete in our dining experience. I had to ask them to back off a bit and assure we’d leave before closing for them to give us some space. It felt very unwelcoming at the end.
Overall.
I don’t think I’ll be coming back to dine in, even though the food tasty. The loss in stars is solely due to the unwelcoming atmosphere, left a bad feeling.

The food was really good and full of flavor. The best part was being able to choose the spice level and balance it to your own taste. We also had the grilled mixed plate, which was absolutely wonderful.

I tried the lunch special to go, which was butter chicken, dhal, rice and naan. The butter chicken gravy was flavourful but also the sweetest version of it that I’ve ever tried. There was 3 bite sized pieces of chicken inside. The naan I found really brittle and dry, it wasn’t my favourite. Rice and the dhal dish seemed pretty standard
My experience wasn’t bad by any means, but it wasn’t great either. The staff was cheerful and the restaurant was bustling during lunch. Still glad I tried the restaurant although I’ve definitely had better elsewhere in Vancouver.

But, Last delivery order the butter chicken included 5 small pieces. What was more concerning is the piece of glass that was discovered in a bite. We thought, accidents happen, must’ve just been by chance. Next night eating leftovers, a staple was found in the sauce….
Definitely made us nervous having two dangerous objects in our food.
The food IS amazing, but clearly standards are dropping.

What a treasure this place is. We enjoyed the best pakoras we have ever had. My husband had a vindaloo and couldn t help finishing the whole order at one sitting. It was hot but flavourful. I loved my dal but it could have used more lentils. It was a lot of sauce

Indian Fusion is a delightful place at the North End of Upper Lonsdale, across from London Drugs.
The food was authentic, and cooked to perfection. Most delightful was the Tandoori Fish.
We shall definately return.
Update: 10/15/24 We returned for more great food. The highlight of this meal was Grilled Platter. It was the best marinated and grilled food I have had in years.

The food quality might be good, and customer service inside the restaurant seems fine as well. However, the restaurant shows no respect for the surrounding neighborhood.
We share an alley with their back door, and almost every night after 8 pm, the staff repeatedly use large garbage bins until around 11:30 pm. The loud slamming of the bin lids echoes through the alley. I live in an apartment building with around 30 units, and at least 15 apartments are directly disturbed by this noise every single night. The bins could easily be closed quietly, but no effort is made!
Sometimes their staff gather in the alley during breaks, speaking very loudly, and sometimes playing loud music late at night.
Good food does not excuse ongoing noise disturbance. There seems to be zero consideration for the people who live around this restaurant, and that is extremely disappointing!

The service was great, and Maya did an amazing job. The place was very clean, and the servers were wonderful. However, the food was disappointing. The samosas were fine, but the chicken tikka was burnt, and the biryani was overcooked with an unpleasant aftertaste. Sadly, the meal gave me heartburn.

The dishes we ordered, including Chicken Vindaloo, Butter Chicken, and Prawn Tikka Masala, were all incredibly delicious and of top-notch quality. The vegetable samosas and garlic naan were also excellent and had an authentic Indian taste. The restaurant’s ambiance was very clean and cozy, and the staff were extremely polite and professional.
