Inside is perfectly Mexican. Bright lively colors. Tons of seating. Clean and well spaced dining area. Huge menu with all the traditional favorites. Food was served quickly. Margs come in two sizes and were very good. Service was a little slow, but not problematic. Casual. Consistently good food. Good portions and reasonable prices. Recommend if you like authentic Mexican.

The food is excellent. The taco beef was much better than the typical watered-down browned beef. It had a good seasoning to it.

Spouse and I had walked Shaw Nature Reserve for Mother’s Day weekend and we’re looking for lunch other than fast food. Spouse found El Agave on Maps. Seating (spring 2024) was either inside or out – we chose inside. Food and service were both excellent. Spouse had fish tacos; I had chile rellenos. Both were good. Facilities clean. Ample parking. No complaints.

I visited here twice while in town with my mother who goes often. The food is delicious. I had a taco salad one visit and the carnitas bowl the second visit. My mom had chimichangas for a change from her normal taco salad. I liked having the queso on the side for the taco salad which is different than most Mexican restaurants. The carnitas bowl what excellent! I would just get that every time. Perfect blend of rice, black beans, pork, pico, avocado, sour cream, and cheese (trying to remember ingredients). The server didn’t understand my drink order the first visit and did not come by very much, but the second visit was better. My mom drinks a lot of margaritas from here! Thanks for keeping her fueled!

Just moved to the area and my husband and I were hoping this was going to be our new “Mexican Restaurant”, but we both thought the food was kind of bland when we ordered takeout for lunch today. However, price of portions is right on. Don’t let this discourage you from trying it, it could have just been an off day and maybe our expectations are just different. It’s just an opinion. We will definitely try again.

All! This is hands down the BEST Mexican restaurant in the area. The decor, the food, the speedy service all makes it the best. They are open for dine-in and using quite respectable spacing. I felt very safe here despite the awfulness going on in our community. While here I had the La Jarocha which is chicken, steak and to-die-for shrimp served on a bed of rice and smothered with that amazing white cheese dip. Hubs had the chimichanga that was stuffed with all things good. If you are in search of very high quality food for a very reasonable price, super fast and friendly service and just an overall good dining experience this is the place. Oh and wear comfy pants because their portions are extremely generous! Pic is of my La Jarocha- o so good!
