I went there around 7:40 am for breakfast and it was almost full with amazing well-gestured people. There’s plenty of parking spaces. The restaurant interior has a beautiful vintage vibe. We have tasted various menu options and they were delicious. I would recommend anyone to try this restaurant, it’s a 9 out of 10 for me based on food, service and atmosphere.

The food was absolutely delicious—our French toast and meat lovers omelette were both flavorful and generously portioned. You definitely get a lot of food for the price. The customer service was top-notch; everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. On top of that, the ambiance was cool and inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a meal. Food was good! The perfect buttered, sourdough toast! Perfectly toasted! The sausage patties were amazing! Try the chili verde omelette, the sauce is great! Service could have been better, we waited too long to get coffee, it felt like it was watered down. After we had a cup of coffee at the table, other waitresses did come by often to refill it… before our own waitress even came to greet us and ask us to take the order. Bathroom was clean, but it’s a one stall bathroom, so prepare yourself accordingly.

We had been driving almost 4 hours when we stopped in at Cove’s Knotty Pine Cafe. It’s a little spot just off the freeway, at the top of Bakersfield, and we were in need of good food after a hellacious start to our journey. The parking lot was packed, which was a good sign. We got in, got sat immediately, and ordered shortly after. Our food arrived quickly, I got the French toast combo, my husband got the Denver Omelette, with a biscuit and gravy side. Everything was delicious, hot, fresh, and hearty. It was exactly what we needed. Our server was wonderful, and if we’re ever in Bakersfield again, we know where to stop

Food was delicious. Ate there today Friday. My husband had the special Fish and Chips that came with clam chowder and Cole slaw. He said it was the best clam chowder he has ever had in a restaurant. I had the T-bird sandwich and it was made with real turkey not deli turkey. Or server brought us a sample of gravy with a biscuit. This is definitely a must stop when you’re in Bakersfield. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Found this place heading from CA to Vegas. We like to eat at local places and 1) it had great reviews 2) not far from our route.
Hubby had the pastrami and loved it. I had the Reuben. It was very tasty but the bottom bread was soggy from the meat. It was still really tasty. Neither of us could finish our meal because the portions were big.
I would imagine that no matter what you got it would be good! Great service, local atmosphere. Take a chance and pull off to eat here.

Been twice in the late morning when in town for work and both times its been great. Instantly seated and food served quick and hot. Servings are huge and delicious. Will come back for sure.
