I’ve been to the Walk-On’s in New Orleans, so when my wife and I visited for the first time, we weren’t expecting it to be as good, but it was very good. It was an NFL Sunday, so they were busy, but got us seated fairly quickly and got our drink order. The food was delicious and atmosphere was fun. The shrimp appetizer is absolutely delicious!! Restaurant seemed in order and clean. Will definitely be back here again soon!

I am not sure what took me so long to come here but glad I finally made it. It is really good. Good food, food atmosphere, and good services. I ordered catfish and it was amazing. Everyone enjoyed their food. My son had Alfredo Pasta. My husband had wings. My daughter ordered a cheese quesadilla but they brought her out a grill cheese sandwich. They replaced it quickly and took it off the bill for getting the order wrong. I’ll definitely return!

This was my first time here. I was meeting some friends and family here for something to eat and a place to talk. The service from Maria was attentive and friendly! This is a great place for the sports enthusiasts! They had wall to wall television sets each playing a different game from various sports. I didn’t know that sort of thing can be watched all hours of the day! The food was ok. It wasn’t nasty, just ok. It was trying to give New Orleans, but something was missing from the recipe. I probably would not come back since I am not that into sports!

We came as a group of 12. There was some confusion with reservations. My sister called the restaurant and the girl that answered said they don’t do reservations. When she got there, the hostess told her that we needed a reservation. She told them what was said on the phone. Then the manager came and said they are supposed to get 24hrs notice for larger groups, but they were able to accommodate us.
Ambience- It is a really nice Sports Bar. They have a basketball hoop (arcade game style), to the side. I think my husband said it was $1 to play.
Service- Our server was Day(sp. ?). She did a great job. She was attentive and helpful. They did get my drink wrong and my daughter and nephew food mixed up, but they fixed it quickly. One thing that happened and was a little concerning was Day, (sp?), misplaced my brother’s CC. That is something that should never happen. We were waiting for probably 15-20 minutes after everyone paid and they did a celebratory song for our daughter who just won State. My brother said he still did not get his card back, so I went over to her to let her know. She looked confused. She came over about 5 minutes later with his card. I personally do not like things like that.
Food- The food was VERY good. For apps we ordered the cheesesticks, Spinach dip and Devils on a Horseback which was shrimp with cream cheese, hot honey and something else wrapped in bacon. Very good. There did seem to be a little bit more cheese than spinach in the dip, but it was still delicious.
I can’t remember everything everyone had, but everyone loved their food! I ordered the fried catfish. It was good, but I wish it was a whole catfish and not nuggets.
I highly recommend people try this place out. We are definitely coming back!
Also,.thank you to the servers for changing up the Birthday song to say Champion for our daughter’s State Championship win!

My Husband and I love Walk-On’s Bistreaux. The food and service is always top notch! The alligator bites appetizer is delicious. Burgers and red fish tacos are great too!! Like you really can’t go wrong with any of the menu options. Enjoy!

I don’t know how this place still open the food was horrible I spent $55 dollars on two meals I asked for extra rice they put two small ramekins of rice. I also Ordered blackened chicken Alfredo and it had no sauce on it I thought maybe if I would stir it up because the sauce was at the bottom no it look like it was rolled in butter. Bro yall should be ashamed to even let this come out of your kitchen and some of the crawfish was blue.

Walk-ons is a good addition to the Avenues! Good food and service and a nice spot! Tons of TVs, and great when the weather is nice with the patio and large garage doors that open up. They also fit in a large group of us once when a bad experience at another local restaurant led us in last minute.

Wow this place is awesome! I have yet to have something to eat that I didn’t like, but the sea food is where it’s at! The staff here is incredibly nice so this is a great sports bar to chill at.
My favorite dishes so far are the Alligator Bites, Ahi Tuna Salad, and Voodoo Shrimp and Grits. That salad is one of the best I’ve ever had! Honestly, it has an incredible range of flavors and juxtaposing textures!

Walk-On’s is a fantastic spot! McKenzie, our server, was absolutely amazing and made our experience so memorable. Her energy, attentiveness, and humor were top-notch—she even does cartwheels for $100! The food was equally impressive. We tried the spinach artichoke dip, and after a long day, it was exactly what we needed. Everything about this place—service, food, and atmosphere—was perfect. Highly recommend!

Ive been here 3 times and while I wouldn’t say it’s a must-do, it’s a good sports bar with plenty of tables and TVs and some notable dishes. We particularly enjoyed the alligator bites and waffle fries. Burgers are standard and Bang Bang Shrimp tacos had a good flavor. The chicken on the buffalo chicken sandwich left something to be desired. A soft drink and entree was $21 so pretty pricey for what you’re getting
