This might be the only authentic South-East Asian buffet you will find in Mideast (not Chinese buffet). They have Thai, Laos, Vietnamese, and probably food originated from other countries that I don’t know.
But don’t be scared!! You can still find fried chicken, stirred fry noodle, noodle soup, and curry if you are more familiar with US-favorite Asian foods.
$23 is so worth it, just the quality of the food and ingredients.
I took my older kids to try some of Asian food too. I think this is a great place for them to try something new.

This place has transformed from being an oriental market to a quaint little restaurant. We tried the weekend lunch buffet and were pleasantly surprised with the variety of food offering . There was good mix of veggies, seafood and meat options although leaning more towards non vegetarian offerings . They also had a good selection of spicy sauces that complemented the food ! They also offer pho in the buffet for an uncharted, all in all we got to sample a variety of dishes !

Mekong Cafe is an excellent option for takeout. Hot and spicy meals (we take our dishes at 2/5 heat) such as the Green Curry or the Nam Kow are the reason we come back all the time. Truly a great place to eat and the service is fantastic!

Tapioca drink and food was salty. The steam bun was hard. Papaya salad was not flavorful and spicy. The 1st time we came for dinner dine in and wasn’t too thrilled with the food. Was around the area so decided to give their buffet a shot but this place probably won’t be a go to spot anymore.

Spectacular wonton soup. I mean, the broth was really, really, really clean not oily or salty just delicately flavored, light and delicious. The chicken wonton were nicely portioned, well made and were a perfect bite. The main course Pud Prik Sod w/beef was fire. It was mildly sweet and savory where you determine the heat. I asked for hot and it was just right. I tried but couldn’t finish it all. It looks to be part convenience store where you need to be in the know to buy authentic items so you can preparemeals at home/restaurant. I imagine their lunch hours are super busy. I love this place and cant wait till im on this side of town to try them again.

Great spring rolls with peanut sauce on the lunch buffet. Other dishes rotate. Everything tasted great. Can’t wait to go back.

Went on Christmas Eve morning around noon. The place was fairly empty, there were only 2 tables filled with customers. The food flavors were good! Definitely reminded us of home cooked meals. The only disappointment we had was the cold food. All of the crab ragoons, eggrolls, fried plantains, chicken wings, fried pork(or steak), nam Khao, pad Thai, and other food were cold and tough to eat even though the flavor was great. Though we loved the different variations of food, we probably won’t return for the buffet as we pretty much paid for cold food. Service was mediocre, server did not check in on us at all after our water was brought out.
I think we would of loved it more if the food was warmer!

Hadn’t tried out this restaurant yet so gave it a go with a friend. The place looks like an Asian grocery store vibe and the restaurant is in the middle.
Service was prompt. Got seeated right away and orders all came out correct.
The food portions were very generous for the price. Plates were definitely shareable.
I had the pineapple fried rice. It was pretty good. Has a few spots where the sauce was clumpy with the rice. Other than that it was delicious and would recommend it if you like curry flavored fried rice. I’ve had a few different styles of pineapple fried rice now and this one was a safe middle ground. Nothing unique or special about it but is a good safe choice.
Stopped by for the lunch buffet option. This is a game changer! Unlimited bahnmi sandwiches. Papaya salad. Curry. Steak. Ka poon. Seafood. And more! This is a very unique option in Milwaukee for anyone that is a fan of Southeast Asian food. And the food doesn’t have the generic Chinese buffet feel to it. You can tell it was flavored uniquely in house. I extremely recommend giving it a try.
