Egg Harbor Cafe was a solid breakfast stop with some definite highlights. My husband really enjoyed his club sandwich there was plenty of meat and very filling.
My eggs benedict was good overall, though the hollandaise sauce was a bit bland for my taste and could’ve used more flavor. My son ordered chocolate chip pancakes but wasn’t a fan of the chocolate chip flavor and didn’t eat much of them.
That said, the coffee was hands down the best I’ve ever had. I ordered the Iced brown sugar latte. Seriously exceptional and worth stopping in just for that alone.
Overall, a good experience with standout coffee and hearty portions, even if a couple dishes missed the mark for us.

Yum yum yum! The food is delicious. The service was kinda slow because they were busy. There was also a super long wait. We waited outside because we didn’t want to go too far. The 45 minutes they told us for 2 people was accurate. They initially seated us at a dirty table but my friend requested them to clean it/move.

Went to Egg Harbor Café in Chicago and it was amazing. They have great gluten-free options, so my girlfriend (who has Celiac) was able to eat safely, which we really appreciated. The server was attentive, checked in often, and made sure everything was taken care of.
I ordered the habanero skillet and it was incredible — super flavorful and perfectly cooked. They cook their food in beef tallow, which makes everything extra rich and tasty, and the seasoning they use is on point. Overall, awesome food, great service, and a place we’ll definitely be coming back to.

Egg Harbor Cafe is a bright cozy spot for breakfast and brunch in Chicago. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming. Their attention to quality ingredients really makes the food stand out from a typical diner experience. I highly recommend the Smoked Salmon Benedict. The poached eggs were perfect and the home fries were crispy and well-seasoned. If you have a sweet tooth, the French Toast with fresh strawberries is excellent, and their mocha is a perfect warm treat. Service is consistently friendly and attentive. While slightly pricier, the superior quality and comfortable environment make it genuinely worth the visit.

Super yummy French toast! The egg was well cooked. The staff is super friendly. The breakfast potato…. Taste like cardboard but anyway. I got a hazelnut oatmilk cappuccino and it was sooo creamy and yummy 10/10.

Egg Harbor Café has plenty of seating and a really nice outdoor patio area. I ordered a skillet, and it was packed with great flavor — definitely hit the spot. I also tried the strawberry orange juice, which didn’t taste too much like strawberry but was still refreshing. Our food came out fast, and the whole experience was smooth and easy. A great spot for a relaxed breakfast or brunch.

Very good place for breakfast: big and roomie. All classic choices for breakfast and descent size portion. They drip coffee is very good and they leave a pitcher on table for you. We got and ultimate skillet and it was very delicious. This place is walking distance from Michigan ave and Trump tower.

We were staying at the Intercontinental and looking for a breakfast spot. We went to Egg Harbor Cafe. The place was packed. Ilooked online before going and you could put your name in online for a spot in line. This saved us a ton of time waiting. The food was all very good and served fresh. With them being busy the food took a while to get. Once we had our food our server was nowhere to be found. They were under staffed for sure. We enjoyed our meal and will check it out again.

We’ve been here i think 4 time in the past two years. They are always consistently good. Everything tastes fresh and always seasoned well. Today (10/11/25) my son went there again, i got the Gregg’s chili and eggs and it was sooooooooo good. It’s one of those dishes that make you want to stick with it but then make you want to try new items because FOMO . If its a busy weekend in Chicago make sure you get on the wait list. We were there during the Chicago Marathon weekend and so glad I got on the wait list while still on the train. It was a good 50 minute wait but we got there just in time for our table. Staff is kind, options are plentiful and food is great.

We called ahead to check if the pancakes and/or French toast had dairy in them. Originally they told us the French toast did and pancakes did not. They immediately called back to correct a mistake, that the pancakes are in fact made with milk unfortunately.
While we opted for a different diner that day to get a pancake fix, we returned another day because of the great customer service we received over the phone.
The Aztec omelette was delicious, and got a “make your own scrambler” to avoid any dairy. Both were great, as well as the mocha and brown sugar lattes we ordered.
