food was delicious, but.. at first, no employees acknowledged me or the other customers there.
i did an online order and went to pick it up. it was done when i got there, but when i got there and said “hi i have an online order” the employee didn’t hear me at first and said “don’t be scared. speak up.” kind of condescendingly. i did not appreciate this especially because even though i usually do speak somewhat quietly, i was literally just getting over being sick so my voice was scratchy already. i have literally never had an employee of a place say something like that to me though so.. thats pretty wild. i liked the food, but i don’t think I’d come back to this location.

First I parked my truck down the street because I was unsure about big truck parking here. I rode my bicycle from the truck stop to try this burger I have heard so much about. In New Mexico there is but one question Red or Green. Here a Blake’s Lotaburger the answer is Green. Normally I am not a spicy chili type of person, but I had to try. The New Mexico style Lotaburger it did not disappoint. Two nice size beef patties, onions and tomatoes cut to a perfect thickness. The green hatch chillies just enough to be the perfect amount and give a amazing flavor. I have paid way more for a burger and gotten way less. I promise this will not disappoint. A short drive off the main path in Deming but so worth it. Almost forgot about the Strawberry Lavender milkshake. I honestly dont think I have ever had such an amazing flavor of milkshake. Most of the time anything with strawberry just taste like a powder or over powering sweetness. This was remarkably refreshing. The young man at the counter was very polite although a little soft spoken, but I am half deaf. I asked a couple questions about Blake’s and was informed exactly where I could find on the wall and read about the history. 100% recommend I know I will be back when I passing through. It was a wonderful cool night to sit outside on the patio and enjoy my meal.

Okay so I am currently on my way to my mother’s funeral and my wife myself and my son are starving because we left without eating from our home we have to drive to a whole nother State and we happen to stop at the lotaburger in Deming. All of us order singularity for ourselves so the one that took our order talked to each one of us. I’ve already had a horrible day! And just wanted to feed my family. As you can see in the picture the girl had messed up our order I only wanted no onions and I had ordered the itsa burger meal as you can see in the photo. I started eating and realized that I only had the buns meat bacon and cheese no condiments at all no lettuce tomato nothing on the burger, so I turned my wife and asked her wasn’t I supposed to have lettuce and tomato. I wouldn’t have ordered it if it didn’t. So she goes and checks inside what the menu says and comes and tells me that I am right. So then I grab the burger so I can show them that it doesn’t have anything other than what I’m showing them and I speak to Monique she was so rude when she was even walking up the guys just were staring at me when I walked up to the counter waited for her to come to the front to talk to me and she just had a horrible look from the beginning because I walked back in with my burger obviously open. So she asked me how can she help me I let her know the situation that my burger was only supposed to have no onions and everything else and this is what I got and the girl messed up our order so she says okay ,and walks away. I noticed she never took the burger back or anything! Instead Monique puts lettuce tomatoes pickles and Mayo in a little to-go box enhance it to me and says the mustard is right here. So I grabbed it from her and I proceeded to tell her thanks if I would have known I had to make it myself I wouldn’t have bothered! She just kind of put her eyebrows up and walked away to gossip with the 2 guys that were there !!! I am so pissed I’m dealing with too much for somebody to be disrespectful for no reason! they don’t like their job then they shouldn’t have it!! I did not put them in this job! Now I didn’t eat but 2 bites kuz I’m having a hard time eating since yesterday when I found out my mother died!!!and the one time that I thought I was going to enjoy a meal I have to make it myself eat. They obviously don’t care about their customers or try to amend something that they messed up I’ve worked in fast food I was a manager for Pizza Hut so I would know how fast food restaurants should deal with this situation. I really hope management does something about this & the way that this manager obviously don’t train their staff about fixing situations or maybe common courtesy to their customers.

Very good! I had the single green chili Lotta burger! They also have breakfast burritos I recommend it all. Service was fast. It was a slow night but everyone who was sitting around got up to there post once they saw a customer walk in. They greeted me and asked what I would like. I would post a picture but I ate it already, thats how good it was.

They NAILED the Burgers, thats what earned the 2 ☆s!
The Fries that I ordered EXTRA CRISPY/WELL DONE, however, were still squishy to the touch with little to no crunch at all. Even tho I asked TWICE!
I also ordered a Frito Pie with Cheese and onion. All I got was a bowl of chili with cheese and onion. NO FRITOS what so ever.
While I was waiting, I saw on the menu board, “Try our Blakes Sauce!”
So upon leaving, I asked for a sauce to try. The girl got one and as she was handing it to me, the cook came up behind her and grabbed it from her hand. He told me, “You have to pay for that, these arent free!”
There was never any mention of a price on the menu board for said sauce!
Overall, ½ Service, ½ Food Orders. The Burgers were the saving grace!

The burger was actually pretty good and the onion rings were some of the best I’ve had. The burger has that old skool drive-in flavor. If I ever visit again, I’ll probably order without the cold veggies. They were quite watery and flavorless, detracting from the overall experience. The bottom bun was oddly dry.
