At Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar, we had a mixed food experience—but a few items were honestly excellent, and the service had some thoughtful touches for families.
Best food first (the highlights)
• Grilled wings + avocado tangy mayo sauce (10/10): These were the star of the meal. The wings were grilled really well and that avocado tangy mayo sauce was amazing—creamy, tangy, and genuinely a must try.
• Kids menu chicken tenders & fries (10/10): Great portion size, tasted fresh, and the tenders were nicely cooked. This was one of the best kids meals we’ve had out—everything felt freshly prepared.
• Rice & beans (8/10): Very good sides—well-seasoned and comforting. Definitely worth ordering.
Items that were just okay
• Chicken tacos (6/10): Looked good, but the main ingredient (chicken) wasn’t very flavorful. It wasn’t bad—just not memorable.
• Salad (5/10): Fine, but not extraordinary. Didn’t stand out compared to the rest.
Family-friendly touches (appreciated)
Even though the place has a strong bar vibe, I want to mention something positive: they were thoughtful with kids. They provided a nice sippy cup for my baby to drink water, and they also had crayons and a coloring sheet, which helped keep my little one engaged. Small things like that make a big difference when dining with a toddler.
Atmosphere / vibe
The ambiance is dim and romantic, and the chandeliers are gorgeous—the interior looks really nice. However, this place clearly feels like it’s popular for bar service and drinks, and the food/dining area isn’t separate from the bar. Because it’s near the club area and has a strong bar setting, I personally wouldn’t recommend it as a go-to family/kids spot, even though they do offer some kid-friendly extras.

Beautiful place but food was far from spectacular! Overpriced and under seasoned! Breakfast tacos were bland with a minuscule amount of meat. Corn shell was NOT cooked so it was dry. Mimosas were room temperature and not freshly prepared. Waitress was adequate but I will NOT rush back to get ripped off. I have added some pictures of BETTER tacos elsehwhere✌️

We’ve enjoyed Raco’s Tacos in the past, but this visit felt like a noticeable decline. The food was fine — not terrible, but pretty “meh” compared to what it used to be. It just feels like some of the passion and attention to experience that once made this place stand out has faded.
The tableside guacamole used to be fun and part of the charm. Now it’s been moved to what looks like a Rubbermaid cart with Tupperware and gloves, and it feels more like an afterthought than something special. What used to feel like a lively tableside experience now just feels like an extension of the kitchen.
What really left us frustrated, though, was the payment process. When they handed over the handheld machine, the suggested tip defaulted to 25% (calculated on the total including tax), and the lowest option available without manually typing in a custom amount was 20%. That felt pretty aggressive and put a damper on the end of the meal.
We wanted to share this because we’ve had better experiences here before and hope they can get back to what made this place enjoyable. Right now, it just doesn’t feel like the same spot it once was.

The food was awesome! Brought my parents so they could try the table side guac and it was a good time. We got there early and it was quiet. I got the enchiladas. We would recommend this place! We saw someone else got the ice cream churro thing so we had to have one too. Worth it! Haha

Sometimes we go for Taco Tuesday. A couple bucks off margaritas and tacos, and the drinks were quality. The steak quesadilla was awesome. Tacos were solid, though the shrimp wasn’t our favorite. Everything else, including the service, was excellent.

I believe our waiter’s name was Otto. Nice big friendly personality. My wife and I had a long day a little tired and just needed that type of attitude at that moment. Rocco’s tacos is generally a good atmosphere and a good restaurant overall decent value what Otto made the night enjoyable which really matters.

I had such an amazing time at Rocco’s Tacos! The atmosphere is always lively and fun, but what truly made my experience unforgettable was Brittany the bartender. She is an absolute gem—so easy to talk to, genuinely kind, and hilarious! Our conversations made my whole night, and I can’t wait to come back and see her again. The rest of the staff was just as friendly and upbeat. You can really tell they enjoy what they do, and it creates such a fun, welcoming vibe. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re looking for great food, great drinks, and even better people!
