After living in Okinawa for many years, we honestly thought finding truly high-quality sushi in the U.S. would be nearly impossible—until we discovered this gem. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was perfect: intimate, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, making it feel like a special experience rather than just a meal.
The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling rushed. And the food? Simply phenomenal. Every bite was incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor, and everything arrived quickly without sacrificing quality.
This is hands down some of the best sushi we’ve had since leaving Japan. My husband and I will happily make the 55-minute drive again and again for a meal of this caliber. An absolute must-visit for anyone who appreciates exceptional sushi and impeccable service.

I literally don’t want to write this review: I don’t want everyone knowing about this place! I love it. I cannot fathom how they manage to produce such amazing portions at such a reasonable price. The Salmon Don attached to this review was only $20! In today’s age of ever increasing food costs somehow these fine folks kept prices reasonable. They’re also super friendly and accommodating to our 2yo.

The food is amazing. The girashi lunch special is definitely the best deal. Comes with a rice bowl and an assortment of fish.

small restaurant that offers fresh fish! I had heard the rolls are not that great but just come here for the chirashi, I especially love th sanshoku so I can just choose my favorite fish (usually do double salmon, one white tuna but their ikura is also pretty good). The rice is seasoned and comes with lots of toppings and although there has been some times where the quality goes up and down over the years, the past few visits this year the salmon and white tuna were very good quality! Thick cut, sweet, not fishy at all, buttery.
Service is nice and speedy.

The sushi was delicious. Had several rolls plus some sashimi. They have a good variety of specialty rolls, plus a bunch of the standard and appetizer. Service was great, they keep our tea full and the food did take long. It a comfy and quiet place very relaxing and easy to catch up with friends.

Sushi Yoshi in offers decent food, though it’s not quite as good as it used to be. The sushi and dishes are generally fresh and well-prepared, but I noticed a drop in quality compared to previous visits.
However, the service remains excellent, with attentive staff who are friendly and accommodating. The ambiance could use an update—it’s beginning to show its age, which affects the overall dining experience a bit.
Parking can also be a hassle. Overall, it’s a good choice for sushi in Vienna if you’re looking for reliable service, even if the food quality has declined somewhat.

Japanese dishes at this establishment were very good when we dined here before, though it seems that the overall quality has changed over the years. During our recent visit, the food was satisfactory but didn’t quite match the higher standards we remember from before. While seating options are somewhat limited both inside and outside, the service was friendly and accommodating.

I’ve been coming here for over 10 years because the sushi is delicious and reasonably priced. I usually eat in and take advantage of the window tables or the patio seating, but carry out is a breeze when needed. Service is quick and friendly, and the downtown Vienna location makes this a nice place to meet a friend as it’s central and by shops and the W&OD trail.
