staff here are always very polite, and I never feel overlooked when placing my order. I haven’t really had any issues coming here—no cold chicken or mixed-up orders. It’s also a great place to eat healthier, with appetizing salads that include chicken as well as options without it. Overall, it’s a good place to eat.

I usually enjoy El Pollo Loco, but my recent experience was beyond disappointing. I ordered 2 Double Chicken Tostada Bowls, expecting a hearty meal, but what I got was basically a salad in a tostada shell with a few tiny pieces of chicken. There was no rice, no beans just lettuce and a couple of dry chicken scraps.
To make matters worse, when I called to address the issue, the manager was incredibly rude and dismissive. Instead of trying to resolve the problem, she claimed that they “count every piece of chicken” to ensure it’s correct what kind of nonsense is that? Instead of just adding a couple more scoops to make things right, she refused a refund and only offered store credit.
This is false advertising at its finest. If you’re going to call it double chicken, at least put a decent amount in! This was a complete ripoff, and the terrible customer service made it even worse. Won’t be coming back anytime soon.

I enjoyed my meal here but I thought it was expensive for fast food. My salad and drink was about 16 bucks, about the same as what I paid at a sit-down Mexican restaurant the next day.

Horrible food!!! Rice was burned and in chunks. Chicken was dry, the birria tacos were a joke hard stale tortilla, burned meat, cold cheese with loads of just onion. Place was soo dirty,tables weren’t clean at all. Just over all the worst pollo loco experience and will never go back.

I went at lunchtime, I took my own order at the kiosk. An older lady asked them if they could take her order because she didn’t know how to use the kiosk, they answered yes, but it will take us a while to take her order. I waited for my order for 15 minutes and they gave me two pieces of dry and hard overcooked chicken. I came back and asked them to change them. They gave me another piece full of bruises. The store on Palmdale Blvd. is just terrible! Everytime we go there, there’s a problem. Today, around 6pm we went and they ran out of chicken. It would take 30 minutes for more, how do you run out of chicken!! Also, we ordered a chicken tostada salad, and it was so small that it was under the shell. Clearly false advertisement . The problem is the manager doesn’t even care about how the restaurant is run. You make a suggestion or comment, and they completely ignore you. We’ve called to talk to a manager, and apparently they’re not available. I would really like the corporate office number or email to talk to someone about this particular spot. We will not go there again, we will drive across town if necessary. Please let someone know how bad this chain is being run.
