I had the 1 meat platter with 2 sides. I chose the 3 baby back ribs, baked beans, and coleslaw with a half sweet and half unsweetened tea. My ribs were good. I didn’t particularly care for the brisket meat in the baked beans, however, I really liked the coleslaw. All around, a good place to grab a bite.

Perfect way to end a day at the lake! We got some grouper fingers to start our meal and they were terrific. Similar to halibut but maybe better?? We also got a 3 meat platter, but we dug in too quick to get a picture . The milkshakes were also delicious. Look to spend 20-30 a person.

Got seated right away, but had to wait quite a while for a server. Thought the sides were quite small in quantity, taste was fine. Ordered chopped brisket and baby back ribs combo plate. Food came out with 3 fairly dried out slices of brisket and an end of ribs. The server took it back and got chopped brisket that was much better. If there is AC in the dining room, it wasn’t working. Overall, decent tasting but not overly impressed.

Excellent BBQ with a totally tame biker vibe. They don’t sell alcohol directly but Mamaw’s Liquors next door sells beer and other adult beverages. I recommend the firecracker shrimp and the brisket sandwich. A friend of mine loves the peanut butter shake.

The food here was surprisingly good. The pumpkin cake was obviously freshly made, with a very delicate outer breading, and the right amount of powdered sugar. The catfish was not overdone like most places. The brisket was tender. There were three BBQ sauce options. The decor was unique

The price and quality for your buck was great. The service for our beer was slow. The waitress who took the order could not serve it. No problem. It was raining so only the inside was full, it should not have taken over ten minutes to get our drinks. Given that it was previously raining and the inside full there was little regard for opening back up the tables or wiping the seats. It took a minute to get someone outside in general anyway. We ordered the bologna sandwich 6 ✨ ✨, the ribs, pork fries, fried mushrooms, coleslaw, brisket in general the food was very good. They did not have fried green tomatoes or the walleye. Instead I ordered the catfish. The fish was not served with sauce? And there was no ketchup for our fries. The sauce in the yellow bottle was good! Unfortunately a couple sat down and didn’t get served and left. Fortunately, for tip purposes another sat down, and was told they didn’t serve non alcoholic beer, or had the walleye. At this time we left. The music entertainment was cancelled and with a few adjustments (short and long term) to the outdoor seating could have preceded in my opinion. I hope the venue paid the artist for the rain cancellation. Completely separate from the restaurant the traffic speed is completely inappropriate! My God, people are crossing the road to come in and kids are playing; that’s when you know it’s good but you run the risk of being hit by an angry driver leaving the roundabout. I’m not even from here and unless you post the expectations of the round about which is a few yards away from the restaurant you are going to have like what was witnessed a lot of heavy feet pissed off locals gunning it from anger. Slow down the speed or an innocent child is going to get creamed.

The service here was excellent. A very kind staff that truly wants you to enjoy your experience. The ambiance is quaint. The food is amazing. Between us all we had ribs, brisket, chicken tenders, a loaded baked potato, sweet potato and washed it all down with sweet tea. Everything served was delicious and cooked to perfection. The smoke and bark was there, without being too overpowered for the kids to enjoy. Bottles of regular and sweet BBQ sauce at every table and a huge selection of various hot sauces. What a great place!

I used to be a big fan, but the last couple of years as they got busier, the quality seems to have faded. They constantly are running out of items and the wait time has got longer. Today I got a salad with a hand torn piece of sliced cheese on it (never seen sliced cheese on a salad before). The french fries were clearly two different kids of fries.

The good news is that the meat is as good as ever, but the sides and service seems to have been the victim of rapid growth.

Amazing food and fantastic service! We arrived after a long day of traveling. We are visiting for a month and though we would try put the closest spot to our campsite. We decided on fried mushrooms as an appetizer and to split the full rack of ribs. The mushrooms were awesome, the batter nice and crisp and they offered a creamy horseradish in addition to the ranch that was so good. The ribs came out and wow, so much food! Fall off the bone delish and the BBQ sauce on it was a nice sweet but tangy sauce. We took half a rack home to have for another meal. We ordered a chocolate milkshake and slice of apple pie to go and later that night I tried the pie and it was also amazing! The service was prompt and I wish I remembered her name, because she was the best! She kept on top of everything we needed! We will definitely return during our visit and I will update her name!

My parents were visiting from out of state so we stopped at Pop’s after a day of sightseeing. We got there about 5pm and were able to get a table inside right away. They were out of brisket so my Dad & I ordered the BBQ pork. After ordering, the server came back and told us that they were out of the pork as well. We changed to the ribs which were really good. I also got the turkey and it was good. My mom ordered the 1 meat platter with the 2 chicken tenders and what was brought out was a platter of fried chicken skins. She picked through it to find small pieces of chicken. When she told the server that the chicken was not good and was not tenders all the server had to say was “I think that’s because they’ve sent us smaller pieces of chicken” Then when we received the bill she was charged $14 for a chicken tender platter not the $11 for a 1 meat platter. The server refused to change the price even though we showed it to her in the menu!!!
