This is, BY FAR the best Italian food I’ve ever had. It’s simply sunning. The atmosphere, the service, the food, absolutely outstanding. The prices are ridiculously LOW for what you get. If you’re thinking about a night out, this is the place. You will not be disappointed.

Food is delicious! My go to is a gnocchi in marinara sauce with melted mozzarella on top. All entrees that my family has ordered here have been this same type of large size portion. The single portion is enough for two meals. The restaurant has an upbeat and friendly vibe – good for families with or without children and adults alike. It gets really busy in there and sometimes is difficult to hear yourself speak. It goes back to the lively, positive atmosphere. Since so many people love it here there is often at least a short wait. Service has been consistently good.

I came here to surprise my mom for her birthday, which led me to wait a good hour on my parents to arrive and the service was amazing! Armond our server took great care of me and the management team was super interactive and created such a homey environment. The food matched the service for sure! My father is a man that doesn’t like restaurant food and he cleared his plate. I will fore sure be coming back!

We attended a party on a Saturday, about 25 people. The food, service and presentation was very good. The staff couldn’t be more attentive and helpful. I loved the way food was family style at every table. Thank you to all the staff, great job.

Came here for a birthday celebration. Food was delicious and service was great. The portion sizes are huge! We did do a lot of family style meals but the sizes are very generous. My husband and I split a veal special and my daughter had gnocchi ala vodka sauce. I had the cucumber Collins to drink…perfect for a hot day!

I’m not a big review guy but this experience calls for it . My family came here for my mom’s 70th and tables were on top of eachother so we could barely move and there was a 10 foot gap between some of us because they needed room for anyone to move at all the waiters bumped into me about 50 times and one of them actually spilt water down my whole back. When it came time to pay the bill the owner told us the drink bill alone was 538 dollars when literally only 6 people took a sip of alcohol. when we asked for an itemized bill the guy said it was going to be too difficult to get it, then they complained after we paid the ridiculous bill because we didnt leave a tip and to top it off when I got home I realized they gave us only half of our leftovers.

I was invited for a party. Basic food, not tasty but ok. Just ok. Service was a bit slow and staff kept forgetting addional requests. Atmosphere: cold draft coming from somewhere, music way too loud. Place too dark, man’s bathroom has only 1 toilet??? Parking lot too small, i had to park on the street, several blocks away. Won’t be coming back.

Had my company Roma Tile’s Christmas Dinner here for about 20 people. The level of service Gio and the staff provided my fantastic. We paid for the prefixe where the chef takes care of the food selections and boy did they take care of us. The food was never ending and all the dishes were delicious. Would highly recommend they went above and beyond to make sure my party was taken care of and the food was unbelievable !

The food here is absolutely amazing. We come here many times throughout the year and whether its for a date night or a dinner party the food is always served fresh and tastes delicious. John and the staff go above an beyond to prepare and serve beautiful meals in a cozy environment where you always know you’ll have the best meal!

La Famiglia in Smithtown is absolutely FANTASTIC! I celebrated my wedding anniversary (and my daughter’s Bday) by having dinner there last night — and we just couldn’t have been more pleased! Aside from the delicious food.. the overall atmosphere in this place is truly enjoyable!
Our server (I wish I knew the young man’s name) was probably the best I’ve ever had! Polite as can be – and incredibly attentive! No need to flag down a waiter in this place…. Our drinks/water glasses were basically refilled without even having to ask! Attentive — is an understatement!!
The food portions …?? Superb! and that goes for the taste/flavor of EVERYTHING we had ordered. All 6 of us enjoyed our meals – as well as the appetizers! Absolutely delicious.
But here’s what stood out the most for me — the waiter mistakenly took our dessert order of tiramisu… He was unaware that a family (prior to us coming) had purchased the entire stock of tiramisu for the night). The owner came to the table and regrettably advised us that there was no more tiramisu for the night.. We really had our hearts set on the tiramisu – so we decided to pass on dessert.
No less than 5 min later — the owner and staff came out to our table with rainbow cookie donuts w/vanilla ice cream on top, and lit up a sparkler and had the whole restaurant singing Happy Anniversary to me and my wife. Then lit ANOTHER sparkler for my daughter – and the entire place sang Happy Birthday to her as well!
We couldn’t have been more touched/taken back! . It really was the “icing” on the cake, to end our day!
To the owner & staff … from the bottom of my family’s heart — Thank You for treating us so wonderfully !!! . You made our night !!!
For all restaurant owners who might read this — PLEASE take notice — THIS, Ladies & Gentleman – is how you gain customer loyalty!
La Famiglia — you just gained a customer for life!!
