It was not excellent but good experience. Nice food and ambience. The costumer service was good as well. I found it a little pricey. Some of the plates are not authentic Japanese. It seemed more like a Japanese Thai restaurant, than just Japanese like they advertise.

My husband and I came to SC for a week to visit and were absolutely blown away by the service and food here. It was so good we ate here twice! The second time we got to meet the owner who was incredibly sweet and shared about her time in the first all-female band in Japan. She sang a bit for us which was beautiful and even gave us a free honey toast dessert as a thank you for coming back! She really touched us and treated us like family. It’s the best experience we’ve had by far in meeting the owner of a restaurant. We hope to be back again sooner rather than later!!

We have been here a few times and this place never disappoints! The food and service are always top notch! This time I ordered the Japanese curry, with clear soup, and the harumaki – all were delicious. I always recommend this place as a spot for a great meal.

New to the area and found this super cute Japanese steak house and wow was i not disappointed. Youll need a reservation but its super worth it. From the absolutely amazing service from our waitress Jun to the mouth eating food or the thirst quenching sake. I cant hype this place up enough. If you are looking for a cute place to have an amazing meal or just want to have some drinks with friends you absolutely need to stop by. I will be going back often.

I have to defend my rating, be on the level when I rate restaurants across the United States and other places. Our waiting time was horribly extended several times. It was our fault we didn’t book earlier and we’re told amid a facade of fine gastronome accolades we needed to take into account that this is a highly rated restaurant. Point taken. Accepted with all humility. When we’re seated we waited another 8 minutes to be accommodated for our drinks. When the drinks arrived, lady server forgot my Orion beer. I would understand that given the servers seem newly trained. The Lady who presented herself as the owner was super nice. She sang with a nice voice. Her quasi evangelical speech and free shot of Sake for Adults in the table was a mover. She also assured us her appetizer crispy pork is better than Pinoy Lechon, considered to be the best roast suckling pig around the world. It was a flop, to be honest. The cutlet was from the boneless tip of ribs, boiled, breaded, fried. Squirt this bit of sauce that few thin slices of Juliene Peppers, Voila–they call that magical. The Tempura Ramen to me was a frustration. I still ask myself if that was really authentic Ramen broth. Their house Special Wagyu Ramen, I didn’t bother to taste anymore. As I live just next to a genuine Ramen place whose Japanese cooks prepare their broth for 12 hours and serve real Ramen experience for less. Comparably, there are Japanese buffet experience who offer superior authentic taste for the true epicure. They offer Hamachi for free. Overall I feel this facility is good for their slight show that insists their status and free shot Sake. It is meant to give homesick sailors and Navy service members a sort of relief—that talk of home. But home, our tables at home is really where we taste the best and experience the memorable. I put my pen on top of those grandiose accolades. I can assure anybody there are more affordable authentic experiences around Summerville area in South Carolina who can serve it, who can nail it, who can provide it without being told of their level. Lastly, I grade food and experience for it’s integrity. This one can definitely elevate their status, there is still a chance.

My boyfriend and I ate here for the first time on 1/29/26. Let me first say I have never been somewhere where I felt so welcomed.
What really stood out to me was how welcoming everyone was especially the owner. You could tell she was genuinely thankful for our support. God bless her, she is such a kind and beautiful woman.. AND she has an amazing voice as she sang to many people celebrating birthdays, anniversaries etc.
The service was excellent. The owner mentioned she had just hired new servers and kept apologizing but honestly, there was nothing to apologize for. I have been to places where the service was horrible and this was NOT one of them.
We had hibachi, honey toast which was amazing and the sangria is the best I’ve ever had! We will be back

Tbh, the food was really good and there was plenty of meat. Service was only OK. We placed a to-go order, but my daughter didn’t want the clear beoth or the salad, so we tried to just get the miso soup. They don’t allow substitutions, so they were going to charge an extra $6 for the soup, even tho we did not want the clear broth OR the salad. Why not just upcharge the extra $1 that the miso costs? I truly wasn’t that impressed. For the price we paid, I really expected better….

Food was excellent! The owner is super sweet and has an incredible voice ♥️ came out to sing to a birthday girl herself. Was really cool to witness. Food was fresh and I loved the variety in the menu!

Highly, highly recommend!
Some of my families favorites are the Kalbi, the Sun dried tomato rice, the chicken cutlet, the gyoza dumplings, the yakitori, the ramen…I could go on an on on how fantastic the food is here.
But here is what it boils down to: the food is delicious, high quality and masterfully prepared. Their food is always either really good, or REALLY good. The staff are always a joy to interact with and the owners are fantastic people who you can tell deeply care about their customers and love what they do.
They’re the prefect example of an amazing restaurant that deserves the phenomenal recognition they recieve, don’t let it go to their heads and continue to provide exceptional food and service time after time. I don’t typically write reviews so Cheers to you, well done.

Love this place! My husband and I live about 45 mins away and we still come out here every few months. It’s definitely a treat for us. I love the sake sangria. The yakitori is the best! Can’t leave without trying the honey toast. Mama (owner/maitre d) is just delightful. The food is always wonderful and service is great. We always leave full and satisfied!
