I’m giving this place 2 stars because the atmosphere is really nice and the staff is friendly, but at least the food I ordered was not good at all. The chicken soup was basically a vegetable soup, I would even say mostly broccoli and cauliflower. It had more broccoli and cauliflower than chicken.
On top of that, it seems the restaurant can’t afford to buy new plates, because the bowl my soup was served in was cracked, even on the inside. When I noticed this, I stopped eating and left the soup almost full. Honestly, I don’t know if I could have swallowed a piece of the material from the bowl.
It is not safe for any customer to be served food in broken or damaged dishes. Customer safety should be the top priority, and reusing cracked or damaged bowls is not safe for anyone.

The food was served quick and tasted authentic. The Birria Tacos is a must try, although the melted cheese didn’t quite work for me but the other flavors worked really well together.

I paid $80 for a kids taco and fries, a small quesadilla, ONE tamal, and one chimichanga. Only the chimichanga came with rice. The Tamal Cubano was $11 alone so I was expecting a large tamal or something special. It wasn’t. The chips are flavorless and generic, same for rice, the birria quesadilla advertises as large for $18 and it was the size of a Taco Bell quesadilla.

We paid but won’t be back. You get more for less at another Mexican restaurant. I think hungry and wealthy patrons are keeping this place alive but not for much longer at their disappointing plates.

My dinner was alright but I came here just for the chips and salsa. The salsa had big stems in it but my food I ordered was hot and tasted fine. The restaurant is dirty and very loud. My service was amazing just wish everything else matched how well he worked. Three different employees worked together to make sure my drink was always full and switched the salsa out when I asked. Too bad the new salsa also had giant hard stems in it.

Absolutely amazing. This place definitely stands out. It’s not just another Mexican restaurant m. All of the veggies were fresh and incredible. I am absolutely blown away by the portion size, the price and the quality of food. I will definitely return.

I loved the pollo spinach.

They served chicken fajita meat that had no flavor except for the spices that they tried to cover it up with. It scared me because the last time I had a flavorless stake at a Mexican restaurant I got food poisoning and was unable to move for the whole day. Some Mexican places soak spoiled meat in water to remove bad taste and serve it. We ate 30% of food but they refused to take anymore than $5 off on the fajitas for two.

I loved the chill environment and it was very clean. They brought regular and spicy salsa, both of which were yummy! I got the Fajita Quesadilla and it was pretty good. The cheese combined with all of the other ingredients had a great taste. The rice was a little dry and lackluster in flavor. We also ordered street tacos (Al Pastor), and they were good as well. The portions, especially the amount of meat they give you is very generous, and is totally worth the asking price! Our server was kind, personable with great conversation, and was timely. We are looking forward to coming back and trying some more things on the menu.

Very satisfied with the food and service at Felipe’s, one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve dined at! Don’t be mislead by some of the reviews, I had absolutely no issues while visiting. The server was very consistent and did everything from checking on the quality/taste of our food (which was delicious!), to checking frequently for refills and even went through the effort to bag our food and gave us to go to drinks!
